A comfortable stay was experienced at Hermes Palace Aceh in the Executive Deluxe room, which was found to be spacious and clean. The service was warmly provided by the staff, and helpful assistance was always offered when needed. A good variety of breakfast options was served, and the food was enjoyed each morning. The pool was appreciated for its moderate size and calm atmosphere. Transportation was easily arranged using Grab or rented vehicles. Nearby eateries and grocery stores were easily accessed, and most local attractions and souvenir shops could be reached within 10–20 minutes, depending on traffic. Overall, the stay was made enjoyable and smooth. A return visit would definitely be considered.

Outdated design but still better than the previous hotel we stayed.

Considering that this is the best hotel in Banda Aceh, I’d definitely stay here again. Good buffet spread for breakfast, friendly front desk, concierge and guards. Spacious room.

Very disappointed with the service from the staffs as it is not represent the 5 star hotels. I saw the staff give good service to customer who comes with big/luxury car etc. The facilities also a bit disappointing where I can't find the gym (not sure they have it or not) and there is no iron provided in my room. And the water heater also not function well where the pressure is very slow for hot water.

The breakfast is good suit the price, and the location is surround with shops although a bit far from city center. The design & architecture is nice & worth it. The city view also nice especially during dawn.

Towels not very good quality. Decor really needs updating - big patch of wallpaper missing behind curtain and paint on skirting boards badly chipped. Couldn’t switch off bright light near the door without switching off all power, which we needed to keep on for charging phones overnight - so had to have bright light on all night. Breakfast buffet not kept hot - dishes need hotplates to stop them getting cold. Chicken porridge tasty but cold and think condiments were not replaced every day.

Good central location. Very comfy bed. Bathroom good with great shower. Friendly staff. Breakfast choice reasonably good. Air con in room very good. WiFi pretty good in room and in public areas.

Some off the bread and croissant are hard, no cheese, less salad, bitter cucumber. Under bed need to clean as well.

Nice local food, excellent staff. The front desk called me to make sure the room could be cleaned even though the privacy light was on, because they saw that I was out and not in the room, thanks Ninda (If i not mistaken her name)

Requested Anniversary set up which acknowledged upon reservation - Not done as promised. Shower in the room too slow AC not function well. At night too hot unable to adjusted. Reported once nothing changed.

Bed type not as per preference. The smell of cigarette was very strong even at non-smoking floor (you may want to consider free smoking zone in the entire rooms). You can have a smoking zone outside the hotel coz even your towel smell had a smell of cigarette. Room interior looks old, need renovation.

Only one of the three computers at the front desk was manned and the checkin was slow. The swimming pool closed at 6PM! Breakfast was supposed tp be served at 6, but there was noone at the front desk and the employees were all asleep on the sofas in the lobby!!!

Hotel is beautifully designed but older and poorly managed. Lots of overdue repairs (broken things in room, frayed bedsheets), breakfast lacking in quality, variety and hygiene (roaches living underneath the big coffee pot and seen running around every morning), murky pool also in disrepair. Can't compete with newer places at this price.

No help with the luggage. Room was worn out. Wallpaper peels of the wall. Booked for two : no towels, toilet products just for one person. Breakfast is not worth the price.

Tile loose in the pool which cut my daughters foot

Very good for a layover before heading to Pulau Weh. The staff were friendly and the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Food in he restaurant was good.
