love this place. Have stayed for two long stays in the past 3 months. It's one of the only places I have gone back to in the last year that I have been travelling. The staff are amazing, the quality for the price is perfect ie. basic rooms. They offer scooter rentals, surfing lessons and have partners that will take you to anywhere, to do anything, on Lombok. Highly recommend Surf Camp 79. Highly highly recommend.

This place is amazing. We just wanted to stay five nights, and now we are here for almost two weeks. The stuff are the best people ever and we spend so many hours laughing and joking. The surflessons are amazing! Thank you for the amazing weeks.

Excellent staff and quality of rooms and common areas for a budget place. It's a surfers place so expect to meet surf instructors and other fellow surfers. Highly recommend

It was a great time at the Surf Camp 79. All the workers are super nice, friendly and super funny. They where always there to help you If you needed it. We d defeniatly recommend staying there. All the best to you Guys, was great to meet you :))

If I have to find anything: Communication of next days surf trip was sometimes a bit confused.

Beautiful, quiet and clean place. Staff was exceptionally friendly and there was a family-like atmosphere at the place, also with other guests. Free refill water, scooter rental availble.

Don’t expect a luxurious resort. Still, you will find everything you need.

The stay: It is located a bit outside of the busy areas, which makes the camp very cozy and quiet. The private rooms are spacious and offer everything you need. The main highlight about the camp is the welcoming, open, and helpful staff. Only after a few days, you already feel as part of the gang, which gave me the opportunity to experience the local lifestyle. The surf: The camp has two surf coaches offering sessions for every level on a daily basis. Armand was my coach for most of my lessons. If you really want to improve your surfing beyond a fun day activity with detailed and constructive feedback - he is your guy!

I had the best time at Surf Camp 79. I've spent 3 weeks there and enjoyed every moments. The vibe was perfect for my surf trip. The people who are working there are the ones making that place special. They made me feel part of a family and was able to enjoy many things with them including surf trips, sunset, diners and many other moments of laugh and good conversation. Thanks for everything guys!

The location is great close to the busy roads of Kuta. We enjoyed staying here and loved it so much that we twice extended our stay. We had a fantastic time surfing thanks our coaches. And we staff is just amazing in every concern. We really felt at home and we were so sad when we had to leave.

It's a bit far from the center but everyone needs a motorbike in Lombok so it's not problem.

Everyone in Surf Camp 79 were nice! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast place also makes it easy to meet other people staying in the place.

The place is really nice, we had a private room with private bathroom, everything clean and in perfect conditions! The staff is really friendly :) breakfasts are good as well! Super recommended!

Social hostel, lots of people to meet. Doing the surf camp / lessons through the hostel is an added benefit. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Great location - near the centre of town and right next door to Pipes

Bathroom ventilation could be better

Great value for the private rooms. Tasty breakfast and convenient location. Very relaxing atmosphere. I had an injury on the reef and the staff helped treat my wounds until it healed perfectly.
