We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Location was good for the Ijen vulcano trip. It was located off the main street, but had plenty of good restaurants and coffee around. The room was spacious, good airconditioning.

United Kingdomsee comments on hot water, its liekly you will not have boiler. there are a lot of ants/ bug ants that go on floor and fall from ceiling. nowhere to hang towels limited English from hosts but they're very nice
the room was upgraded because unlike one of the reviews saying this room has hot water it didn't - they have us a different room with a boiler but the boiler was broken and took ages to fix late at night. they did give us a bucket of hot water in the end so we could shower. the hosts are very nice and welcoming, they try help as much as they can and gave us a later check out time as our train was very late that day there's free water refills which is handy can book the ijen tour through them but be aware that the blue flame hasn't been visible since it reopened but noone tells you this

The people who worked at Calliandra were so friendly en did everything to help us. They gave us a free room upgrade, and organised the Ijen tour for a fair price. The room was really clean, there was a nice tv that you can connect with your smartphone.

GermanyThe AC is really loud and it could have been a bit cleaner, but it still was totally okay.
We only stayed one night to go to the Ijen. The room had everything we needed and there are plenty of nice restaurants in the area. If you are looking for a place to stay just to go to mount Ijen, we can recommend this Homestay. Also the owner was very nice and speaks good English.

United KingdomMotel-style layout and feel - white bare-walled room, no chair, hooks or hangers. One electric socket, far from the bed. Modernised bathroom but no door, sink or mirror. Wifi weak when in the room. Not much in the immediate area.10 minute walk to the main street. Be aware that the cheapest room has no window. Nice staff but needs investment from whoever owns it to justify the price charged. OK for a quick one night.

FranceThere was a weird strong lingering smell in the room for the three nights we spent there.
The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is spacious and the water pressure is great, the AC works well, the place feels secure (there is a big sliding gate with a camera above it to close the property). The location is perfect, it's right next to a couple of delicious and affordable restaurants (Hanasta, SMJ, Surya..). The owner is very helpful and gave us great advice to enjoy our time in Banyuwangi. The wifi works very well also.

Then helping us arrange our travel out of Banyuwangi after and showing us round town. Lovely place to stay, very clean and very accommodating
