What a little gem in hostelworld Wees een Kind is! Centrally located in Malang in a quiet area, with fine beds, good bathrooms and the great banana pancackes (or any other breakfast) of Miss Cicik. Also, interacting and, if you want, eating with the great children in the adjacent shelter, is a real delight. The idea is that the hostel makes enough money to take care of the children, so you are also supporting them while staying there. I highly recommend this hostel.

Everything!!! The guys who run the hostel treated us like family from the minute we got there. Our daughter spent hours playing with the kids that live in the associated living quarters. They invited us to dine with them and the food was delicious!! Apart from that, the room was super cosy, the wifi was great, the showers were hot and the banana pancakes were unreal! A stay here is money well spent. Make sure to leave a donation!

Such a lovely place to stay! The host is really sweet and helpful, and it’s so fun to talk to the kids. Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast but we would have loved to join them with a meal!

Unpleasant smell came up through the bathroom drains.

Friendly hosts. Capsule beds had a lot of space. No air-conditioning, but each bed has a portable fan, so it was still fairly comfy.

Maybe a little bit out of the city, but that wasn’t a problem for us.

Only a few beds so it was nice to not be overcrowded. Facilities were very clean and shower was hot & strong! Also let us use the kitchen.

The people is very nice. For 3 days staying there I met with a lot of other foreigners from Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic and others. At the same time, you are also contributing to the kids that live there.

My sister and me loved the accommodation. It’s located in a quiet and save area. The room, kitchen and bathroom were clean. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very very friendly.

Location easy to get moto from train station. Local restaurants. Awesome to meet the children and learn about the wonderful work this hostel supports. Great staff, keep up the good work and see you next time.

The weather in Banyuwangi during nov is so hot, I didn't expect that. Feelks like 40 degree celcius. Manila weather during that month is better haha

The staff is among the best of all, been too many hostel and i can see their passion when checking in with guess, this the first time i enjoy the facilities tour thanks to that staff, I forgot her name lol.

There was a lizard in our room, which isn't their fault, but I couldn't sleep haha. Bathroom was okay, really smelt bad.

Super friendly host. Great pancakes for breakfast. There was not much options though. This or toast. Constantly cleaning the floors and the main area. We came to Malang just to see the colorful village. The area felt very safe as it is in a gated community. We booked the private room but the hostel was bus as well

I only stayed here for one night but it was good, they had water available to buy for pretty cheap. The staff were really nice and the money goes to fund the orphanage they run next door. You have your own little cubby in the dorm which is nice as most people only seen to stay for a few nights to do bromo trips.

The staff was kind & helpful. She allowed me to stay at the lobby after I checked out while waiting for my train schedule going to Banyuwangi. Thank you! The room is spacious, toilets & bathrooms are shared.

The host was so lovely. One of the nicest people I’ve met. I love that the profits go towards the affiliated orphanage, the dinner with the kids is a must do! They are so kind.

It is surrounded by mosques, so it can be noisy at prayer time. However, I think that would be the case for a lot of Malang

Loveliest family that run this place, so kind and welcoming. Room was big and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was really good. Location was also good, near the main places but far enough that it is still peaceful. Would return here

The room has one small part that cannot be closed. So the street and the muezzin call can get a bit loud, I personally recommend using earplugs, if you're a light sleeper.

Wish I could give more than just a happy smiley for the staff. The owner was so endlessly sweet and helpful, she even accompanied me to the doctor. The room was tidy and there are several small bathrooms. Water pressure and heat was great. If you want, you can have dinner with the orphans, they are really lovely and open-hearted.

I stayed in the hostel with a friend for 3 nights and enjoyed a lot our stay. Everything was very clean, good breakfast and the host super nice and polite. We also liked the concept of funding an orphanage. Highly recommended!!

For the price the best accommodation you can find. The staff is also super nice and helpful. I can only recommend the dinner with the orphans.
