Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI loved everything!
From the moment I stepped into the Hyatt Regency Hotel Bali, I felt comfortable with the warm welcome I received. Novia, the receptionist who checked me in, made me feel at home straight away. She then accompanied me to my room to show me how everything works. Afterwards, she gave me a tour around the grounds, explaining where to eat and where to find the different evening entertainment. She then left me with a written itinerary of all activities I reserved, the times, and where to find each venue. The hotel is set in beautiful tropical gardens and is a short walk to the beach. I dined in the main dining room for breakfast, where the food was great, and with staff offering excellent service. In the evenings, I dined at the Pizzario restaurant, offering jazz entertainment, and on the beach for the 'surf and turf' grilled dining experience, accompanied one night with Balinese dancing and the other night with fire dancing. Audience participation saw me persuaded to 'shaking it' along with a Balinese dancer! My room was spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens and with sunshine streaming in. I also loved it that I could walk from the hotel to the local shops nearby. Obviously, all my evening meals were tied in with the entertainment on offer. The buffet meal on the beach was excellent, with a wide range of food to choose from. My waiter, Agung, offered helpful and attentive service. I would also like to mention the help I received from another receptionist, Amelia, I think her name is, but unfortunately, I didn't write it down at the time. However, l would like to thank her for helping with checking me online for my flight back to Malaysia and for completing the form required for the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC). Housekeeping was also great, and my room was kept in tip-top condition for the whole of my stay. I can safely say that the staff made this great hotel exceptional.

AustraliaPeople reserving sunlounges with towels, a book or shoe then disappearing for 2 to 3 hours before returning. Only one pool heated. Room servicing between 9 and 6. On two occasions room was still not serviced after 5.30 in afternoon too late for us, however once we requested with reception to have it serviced between 9 and midday it was.
Lovely hotel, beautiful gardens room clean, balcony clean. Room a little on the tired side, just the timber though could use a refresh in parts. Didn't have breakfast but did oder pizza one night and club sandwich another day both were excellent. Good location a lot of eateries around for breakfast, dinner drinks. Close to a mini mart.

AustraliaThe kitchen was slow with our a la carte breakfast and we felt that the priority was on the buffet service. The location can be limiting if you want to go outside the resort.
The Balinese architecture and clever use of the extensive property provides a luxury holiday on an iconic beach front. The room is small but superbly laid out. Nice balcony which we used a lot. We had a technical issues with the Smart TV which limited our use and required several service calls. Also the shower taps needed further explanation to get them working. The breakfast though was worth the wait and the quality of the fresh fruit is the best we have had in Bali. Any problems we had were sorted out by the staff who are just so friendly and pleasant and went out of their way to make everyone happy.

CroatiaJust a few minor things, nothing major. The tables in the breakfast area where we were seated were too low, which made it uncomfortable to eat as there wasn’t enough space to fit your legs underneath. Also, the spa prices seemed quite high compared to some very nice spas outside the hotel, so we decided not to use it.
The location is wonderful, and the staff were great—friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was very nice and spacious (though the balcony on the 4th floor was quite small). The breakfast buffet was excellent—varied, fresh, and with plenty of options to choose from.

AustraliaProbably better value elsewhere, but I like the Hyatt experience in general so no real issues.
Staff were very friendly and attentive. Always saying hello and remembering your name. For couples / Adults, the adults only regency club is a must have. It’s tucked away with its own area with a nice pool, lounges, gym, sauna, cold plunge and bathrooms. Great place to relax away from the kids etc (which we don’t mind but prefer to avoid). Main pool area is really fun place for families with lots of pool area and fun activities for kids. They seemed to be loving it. Beach area with lounges is vast and easy to access. Service to lounges was quick enough but best to order something as soon as you sit down. Restaurants were great and relaxing, but the afternoon cocktails from 5pm to 7pm is amazing. Unlimited cocktails/beer/wine and finger food for two hours. Staff remember your drink order by the second day. Room was clean and had view of the ocean on second level. TV was large and easy to hook your laptop up to watch Netflix. All in all very pleasant. I’m sure there’s better places for the money, but I’d happy give it a 8.9/10

NetherlandsWith so many rooms and therefore people, it’s quite a rat race to get e.g. a sunbed in a good spot - not surrounded with a 1000 kids - though there is an adult-only pool as well. I really didn’t like the strong chlorine smell (of both pools). I am staying in my 4th hotel now and the smell was never this intense. At the pizzaria everyone kept asking for salt & pepper, with Indonesian food is great in spices, but the Western food is quite lame. Please level up. Make your dinner reservations on time, as again: many people want to eat at the sea side restaurant enjoying the view. All in all the Hyatt once again did not disappoint. One minor detail: the wifi is not protected with a password, which made me feel a bit uneasy when I couldn’t check my bankaccount after a missed Apple payment. But they didn’t charge me twice, so no worries there.
The Hyatt in Sanur is always my first stay after a 24h trip to get to Bali. I love their service and friendly staff, going to the max to make your stay worthwhile. I upgraded my Deluxe room to a room with a bath tub for $25 per night, which came with sea view. Good water pressure, hot water and spacious room. Also free bottles of water of which you can always order more. I wanted a bath soap and extra body lotion, which arrived in my room on the double. I love the location, you can walk either way and explore Sanur Beach. Great sunrise views. The garden of the hotel is really nice. The breakfast buffet is really overwhelming, with so many choices of different food. From Korean to Indian, Western and ofcourse Balinese/Indonesian food. Great - crispy - bacon. Lots of fresh fruit and many, many other options to choose from. The staff went all the way to get you what you want and food was always topped up before running out. The once per week BBQ-buffet at the beach looked nice, but I didn’t try the food. It smelled delicious :)
