How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewA man at the restaurant overcharged me for my order. I stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. I received the food delivery service twice during this period. Once was for lunch in the restaurant, and the first and third times were served by the same man. The second time was served by a woman. On the first occasion, I ordered a taco and french fries combo and a glass of juice. He charged me double the price listed on the menu, thinking it was some kind of service fee or something. I thought it was normal. But on the second occasion, the woman who served me ordered at the same price as the menu, with no extra charges. On the third visit to the restaurant for lunch, the man who served me ordered at double the menu price. But since the order was already written, I still thought it was fine. I paid, but I felt there was something wrong with it.

Verified reviewThere was a lot of garbage and plastic garbage at the beach, at the sea and in the paths of the hotel. The water of the shower smelled and the hotel should use a filter for the installations. There was not closed water bottles. The restaurant quality was average and there are no more options around.

Verified reviewWe had a stunning view and the private bay of the resort is absolutely beautifull. The house was very beautifull aswell. We liked the bathroom, which makes so feel like you're outside, taking a shower in the jungle, but is actually completely screened in and bug-free. Staff was really nice. We liked that they provided big towels for the beach.
The resort is in a very remote place. This is part of the beauty, but it has it's downsides. For us, the biggest downside was being dependant on the resorts restaurant. It's not a good restaurant. Aside from the nasi goreng you can have for breakfast and the rendang for dinner, the food is bland and, in a country with amazing cuisine, disappointing. The restaurant is also quite expansive. The bedding smelled a bit funky.

Verified reviewReally nice place to stay if you want a break from the city!! The landscape are just AMAZING, it’s breath taking! The only thing is there is no sunbed on the beach or personal during the day if you want to take a drink or anything… but the place is stunning for few days!

Verified reviewThe drive to get to the bungalow was rough. It is because of the environment but it’s something to note.

Verified reviewLocation is amazing. Very private. Pleasantly surprised their was refrigerated a/c even though was advertised. Power going off for a short period due to solar really wasn't an issue
Not close to shops to buy snacks or food. Remember to bring drinks if thats your thing as limited near by. Restaurant food was ok but pricey.

Verified reviewWe stayed at Jeeva Beloam Beachcamp for two nights in April this year. This place is totally amazing. The accommodation and ocean outlook are fabulous. The dining area is lovely and the food mostly quite good, but expensive for what was on offer. The portions were on the small side plus there were some items listed on the menu that were not available when we tried to order them). Restaurant hours are restricted, so we recommend bringing some snacks to keep in your room. The reception managers Lee and Pino were professional, warm, helpful – nothing was too much trouble for them. They gave us the reception WhatsApp contact, so we were able to request cold beer or a pot of tea via reception when the restaurant was closed. The Jeeva Beloam staff make a good effort to clear the beach of the rubbish which is deposited at high tide, making the beach beautiful to hang out on in between delightful swims. One of the highlights of being down the beach was seeing the tracks in the sand left by transiting monkeys.
We booked via Booking.com because we were booking many accommodations for this trip and it was easier to manage the bookings via one portal. We typically find that Booking.com rates are similar to the direct book rates (if not a little better) but in that case of Jeeva Beloam the rate charged via Booking.com was more than double the direct book rate (we found this out whilst staying at Jeeva Beloam). We did think it was expensive when we booked but foolishly trusted that the Booking.com rate was close to the direct book rate. We thought it was probably expensive due to the remoteness, plus we looked at the Jeeva Beloam website to find out information about the property and saw in the “Dining” section of their website:- "Due to the isolated nature of the camp, lodging at Jeeva Beloam Camp is all-inclusive with accommodation including all meals, coffee, hot tea and iced tea, juice, lemonade, fruit punch and water. Soda and alcoholic beverages are charged separately", so we thought this explained why. We told them this was misleading; they have since modified the website to reflect the truth. We have had a series of communications with Jeeva Beloam to try get clarity on the high charge. We were eventually offered a voucher for 2-night stay to compensate for the overcharge issue, which we accepted. We plan to stay some additional nights enjoying relaxing at this amazing place. I just did a test booking for a 2-night stay April 2026 (similar dates to our recent stay). These are the results: Booking.com: IDR 8,399,998 (AUD 794) Direct Book: IDR 4,180,000 (AUD 396) Agoda: IDR 4,325,908 (AUD408) The price difference between Booking.com vs booking direct or using another booking portal (Agoda) is significant and it feels very much like a scam. It’s not clear who is profiting off this, but someone is! Please learn from our experience and don’t just trust that you are getting a better or similar price by booking via Booking.com - BOOK DIRECT

Verified reviewOperational hours were not listed not much to do when Resturant is closed and the beach is full of plastic. Electricity being off most of the day was a problem. Food was very overpriced and poor. Don’t expect anything luxury it’s a very casual accommodation

Verified reviewBeautiful quiet location. Fabulous snorkel trip organised by the hotel staff. Spacious inside and outside space of the villa. Very helpful and lovely staff.
Food was expensive compared to similar resorts. Portion sizes were very small (child portions for adults).

Verified reviewI really loved the beautiful location of the hotel. The staff were super sweet! Special thanks to: Lee, Rizal, Nurris, and the chef – I believe his name was Aiden. And a special thanks to Novi for the great massages! I was very happy – she knew exactly where all my pressure points were. If I needed something, it could usually be arranged. Even when it came to the food – Nurris once even went out on his scooter to get me some coconuts. That was amazing and truly appreciated!
The shower! For the price, you’d really expect that to be better taken care of… there were so many times when only a few drops came out. That really bothered me a lot.

Verified reviewHospitality, remote place with peaceful surroundings
The access path offers awkward looks directly into bedroom - bad design in this sense In the rooms there should be a booklet of all the information and restaurants menus.
