Cold shower, but in the end wasn’t that bad because the weather is alwazy very humid so a cold shower is acutually good :)

It’s very central, close to warungs, you can walk there and near to the beach :) Adi and his family are very nice! I could rent a scooter for 60 per day and the room was fine! Very simple but all you need. Even a water dispenser was in the room!

Adi was such a great host with great communication and tips for the area. The location is right in town so you’re a 10 min walk to the surf break or 2 minute scooter, and even closer to most restaurants. We loved staying here for a week and wish we could have stayed longer!

Wide clean room, no bad smell on the toilet, water server in each room, and nice small chair outside to relax. if I need something you can even text him and he will arrange my request right away. The host is incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything you need. The property is beautiful and the rooms are very clean. Jelajah homestay was great in many ways ! Adi and his family are some of the best hosts we have met, always ready to help and making sure you have everything you need. Adi's dad even got us a fresh coconut from the garden ! Adi organised our scooter (with surf rack), our transfer to the train station when we left, gave us informations about the area and where to explore, surf, eat... The room is affordable, spacious and comfortable with a nice private terrace. The place also has its own little supermarket and snack restaurant. It is 5 min walk to the beach and to many places to eat. We had originally booked for 2 nights and stayed almost 2 weeks, highly recommend !! Thanks again Adi and family for making us feel right at home, we hope to see you again !

The wifi didn’t reach into our room but was fine outside. I think when booking the description said TV with streaming services but the we couldn’t get the TV on and I imagine it’s just cable anyway. Not that you need TV!! There was also a large gecko living in the roof in the bathroom and he would poop onto the floor all the time and it really stunk out the whole room even when we washed it down the drain. It would be fine if it didn’t smell so bad!

The nicest homestay we stayed in while travelling Indo. All the staff were so lovely and friendly, especially Adis father! He kept the grounds immaculate, was always hard at work with a lovely smile :) There is a little shop and kitchen attached to the property which is really handy. The room was spacious and clean with nice patio areas to sit outside. The price is a little more than our previous homestay in the area but it’s really worth it as the quality is great. Adi also organised a private car transfer to the train in Banjar for 600k. You can also rent a scooter for 50k per day. Would definitely recommend staying at Jelajah if you are in BK, we will be back for sure.

Lovely clean Homestay with nice garden area & patios. Friendly hosts. Big room with 2 beds and en-suite (cold shower only). Free drinking water in bedroom!! The host was able to arrange scooter rental for us & transport to Jakarta, both were very helpful! Would definitely recommend staying here!

It was excelent. We have zero complains. :) If I had to say something maybe hot shower for after sunset surf session at night but it’s really not needed as the weather is hot.

Perfect stay. The room was comfortable and big, with 2 huge beds, air conditioning and a big water fountain. The bathroom was big and comfortable. The terrace is lovely and everyone in the place is friendly and very helpful. Adi helped us organise our taxis from Yakarta and to the airport, rent a motorbike, recommended place to eat local food and even helped us find a doctor when we needed one.

Such a good place to stay in Batukaras! It’s a 5 minute ride from the beach and you can hire scooters through the guesthouse. Adi is a great host and can help arrange transport to and from the property. We had such an amazing time and will definitely stay again if we revisit Batukaras in the future.

Very nice and welcoming Family. Kake the father picks you a coconut so you can sit on the balcony and sipp along and refresh. How and cold water dispenser in the room with coffee and cups. Little shop belongs to the guesthouse. Also a good and cheap warung next door. Scooter rental possible. Drop off at the bus station or help to organise the return trip to Jakarta. Definitely recommend the place...

Comfortable, clean and spacious rooms. Nice little courtyard. The best was Adi who arranged everything for us. A trip to Green Canyon including local shortcut to avoid the traffic which treated us to amazing views of the village and ocean. But most of all a boat trip from Majingklak to Cilacap and transport (Angkot) to Majingklak. We couldn't have done this without him. He also gave good recommendations for dinner and when and where to surf. Really a good guy! Pancakes for breakfast and cold Bintang from the shop! Fresh coconuts from the tree. You should really go here when visiting Batukaras

Bathroom door needs to be fixed. Cleanliness of the bathroom could be better. No fridge in room so couldn't keep food.

Location is ok, close to some warungs, a bit of walk to the surf point beach but that's fine. Adi is very helpful, kind and polite. He brought me to the airport early morning with no charge :) Quite place, good for relaxing after surfing. Nice and clean room. Good value for money.

There were a lot of mosquitos in the room.

The location was perfect. We were on a walking distance from the beach, restaurants and supermarket. We booked surfing lessons via our host. He also arranged that we were picked up to our surfspot. Additionally, he helped us book a taxi from his accomodation to our next destination.

Everything was great. The room was very clean and the village is really nice. Adi and Adit were really helpful and responsive. Adi helped us to rent a scooter as well as to organise transportation. We wish we could have stayed longer to surf even more.
