    Very nice comfortable clean place

The mosque close by was noisy so wear ear plugs a common theme in Java though so not just specific to here.

cozy homestay operated by ladies family. nice hosts, but they don't speak english so the communication goes via the interpreter. traditional javanese family house, neat and clean.

expected more comfortable bathroom and toilet. OK for me but i travelled with my kids.

    Property response:

Very primitive accommodation - shared bathroom without sit down toilet.

    ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

The private "bathroom" is the most disgusting, dirty bathroom I've ever seen in my life and I'm NOT picky! It was full of spiders which obviously have been there for months or even years. There is no sink AND no roof in the bathroom! The room smells horrible, so does the bed. If you think about using the kitchen: Don't! It might just be the last thing you'll ever do.

    Property response:

Hello Isabella, Thank you for your feedback, and we apologize if your recent stay did not meet your expectations. We regret any inconvenience caused and wish you had informed us during your stay so we could have addressed your concerns promptly. Our homestay embraces a traditional East Java-Indonesian house concept, featuring classic wooden furniture that emits a woody aroma, as depicted in our photos. We acknowledge that our accommodations may not offer the modern amenities found in upscale hotels. However, we strive to provide the best possible service to all our guests. For future visits to Indonesia, we recommend considering upper-tier hotels with a more contemporary design and amenities to better suit your preferences. We hope you had enjoyable moments during your holiday and appreciate your feedback. Warm regards, Jeru Homestay

We picked Jeru Homestay because we wanted somewhere that would be convenient for getting up early to visit Baluran National Park the next day. The homestay was perfect for our one night stay - very clean and comfortable with lovely furniture and nice communal seating areas at the front and back. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. I had the room with the private bathroom. It didn't have a sink but I was able to brush my teeth using a glass of bottled water and spitting down the shower drain. The bed was comfortable. All messages to the property were answered quickly and clearly. In view of the fact that there are so few good places to stay near Baluran, this one is a real gem. I would recommend checking in during daylight hours. We were running a bit late after travelling a long way and it was dark and we missed the turnoff, but it didn't take long to rectify that. The homestay is very close to a mosque, so you will hear the call to prayers, but it's hard to find somewhere in Java that isn't close to a mosque, so I wouldn't hold that against them.

A house full of wooden furnished, located in quiet area. Suitable definitely for groups or large family stay.

Limited facilities like towels not available, make sure to prepare food when staying there. Shared bathroom.

Clean house with 4 bedrooms, my 9 months baby can crawl on the floor, we're the only customer so it felt like the house was ours. Helpful lady who took care of the house and recommended her relatives to give us massage. There's a cute cafe nearby and you can see rice field view from the porch. The weather was nice and windy not very hot. Big supermarket called Roxy is just few mins drive to main road.

Nothing really. If you book the room with shared washroom please note that the toilet is the traditional one.
