Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe loved our cottage suite. A perfect combo of saying in international hotel adjusted for you to experience authentic local vibe. The cottage was spacious, very clean and staff was doing room service twice daily which was amazing. The restaurant at the beachfront was delicious and happy hour was a bonus for those who enjoy midday drink. The water at the ocean is not super clean because of strong tides but the hotel is doing great job to maintain the beachfront really clean and they also have an amazing pool.

NetherlandsNo gym and wasn’t able to do any yoga / meditation as there was no one available on the day. Not a big fan of the beach though was kept clean in front of hotel and kids enjoyed playing in the waves.
Beautiful grounds and pool area. Staff super friendly and helpful. Nice rooms. Lovely food and cocktails.

Lithuania- The rooms: while the rest of facilities feel amazing, our room was a bit dated and could really use a refresh - The beach: while the beach right in front of the hotel is relatively clean, is not exactly up to western standards. Some plastic, occasional dog poop, etc. This is a bigger problem in Bali however, so I think the hotel is trying to handle this, but a simple 1-2 extra hours every day cleaning the sand in front of the hotel would make a huge difference - We did catch some random items and charges on our dinner bills (we were on half board). And while these amounts are relatively insignificant (15-25 Euros), it does leave a weird feeling.
- Staff is simply incredible, very warm and attentive. They inform you about every little detail and take care of everything. - Food, both the breakfast and dinners felt very high quality. Everything is fresh, tasty and simply top notch - Pool area: simply amazing, both aestheticly and in terms of service. Staff and bar menu is just one button press away. The coctails are great, the pool water is warm (this is something that so many other Bali hotels don’t have), and the beach beds are also amazing with different options for every day — facing the beach, facing the pool, pool tents. - Beach dinners are worth a separate shoutout, doesn’t get much more romantic than that. Also comes with different programmes in the evening — traditional dances, live music performance..

United KingdomThey truly made an effort to keep the authenticity of the local architecture and experience. We were in awe at our Presidential suite and mesmerised to see their own temple and their pool which resembles a purification temple. Staff is exceptional, alongside their varied cuisine. Would love to go back!

IndiaFor a beachfront property, with such amazing hospitality, and comfortable amenities - it should be rated MUCH HIGHER!
We had a fantastic stay at Jimbaran Puri. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, which made all the difference on our first trip with our 1-year-old daughter. They made us feel so comfortable and cared for throughout our stay. The resort is very baby-friendly—with high chairs at restaurant as well as in the rooms, a perfect baby pool, and wide lawns for little ones to run around. Upon request, they even arranged baby-safe detergent for laundry service, which was really kind. Our room was spacious, clean, and felt truly comfortable. But the highlight was the staff, who went above and beyond—including gifting our daughter a handmade turtle for her birthday. We felt pampered, relaxed, and will definitely be back!!

United StatesSadly we booked a 2 bedroom villa for ourselves and my 3 year old, but there is no internal access between the bedrooms so we all had to bunk together in 1 room, as we wouldn't hear her if she woke up in the night, and if she came to find us in the middle of the night she would have to walk outside, past a pool etc. So it's a lovely place, just not for families with young children.
Lovely staff and grounds, very tranquil!

I can write articles describing the great experience we had in this hotel. I never gave 10 to any accommodation given I traveled a lot for business. This one is from another level. They upgraded us to private villa for my husband’s birthday which changed all our stay. Stuff was very caring. Food was amazing & special applause to room dining service and food that looks and tastes like Michelin plates…

Jimbaran Puri rests upon one of the best and safest spot on the coastline for swimming in the ocean. The beach is clean with plenty of available sunbeds. As a lovely touch, the staff bring each guest chilled water in signature thermoses both to the beach and the pool. The hotel is designed like a Balinese village, with individual villas connected by beautifully maintained paths, small temple structures and Balinese architectural elements. The grounds are lush and full of tropical plants, with frangipani trees and blooming lotuses adding to the serene atmosphere. The villas differ in size and style. Our initial villa felt dark, but the staff responded quickly and relocated us to a bright one. Daily afternoon tea is delivered to the villa, accompanied by elegant desserts. Housekeeping comes twice a day, with evening turndown service that includes closing shutters and preparing the bed. The mattresses are new and extremely comfortable. Breakfasts feature a wide selection of local fruits and delicious French croissants. What stood out most was the hotel’s general manager, Charles. He is highly professional, attentive, and genuinely involved. From early morning, he personally walks the property, checking every detail and supporting the staff. The team is friendly, helpful, and clearly takes pride in their work. Jimbaran Puri offers a calm, well-managed and beautiful place to rest, with a team that truly cares about guest experience.

AustraliaOur first stay at the Belmond resort and we loved it!!! The photos do not do it justice, better than expected, which is always a great bonus. Such a relaxing, spacious yet intimate soothing place, the beach, the gardens, the amazing giant size pool. We were welcomed and acknowledged for our wedding anniversary and invited to drinks with GM on our first night, also met some beautiful staff members. Cottages are huge and beautifully decorated in traditional Balinese decor, our only issues were the noisy air con and light switches, which were an inconvenience from your bed. Minor. Breakfast was delicious, great buffet variety, as was balinese coffee, loved coming each morning. Sunset drinks on the beach were also fantastic, beautiful seating options, great way to begin our holiday, supported by the attentive (not obtrusive) service displayed by all staff. Another example of this resort's service relates to my enquiry about yoga on offer. Given the nyepi day of silence this was cancelled, which I respected. However, manager on duty, night of 27 March was upset by this, he called me to say he rescheduled to next available morning, as a private class. Blown away with this insightful service, I'm so sorry I did not catch staff member's name to thank 🙏 Our bonus experience this visit to Bali was the cultural and spiritual nyepi, Balinese new year. So special to witness the magnificent talent, color, and noise of ogoh ogoh street parade, our location perfect. The ogoh ogoh display at our resort was made by head of security, Sumarja, it took him each weekend over 3 months to make, using discarded leaves from the resort gardens and sliced up limes from the bar, what craftsmanship!!! Nyepi, the day of silence was not an issue when confined to this resort, unfortunately the dinner for this event did not meet our expectations, having said this, the chef was genuinely interested in our feedback next morning, thank you.

ItalyA Magical Escape at Jimbaran Puri, A Belmond Hotel in Bali Our stay at Jimbaran Puri was nothing short of extraordinary. This place is truly special, exuding a unique charm that makes it unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with such warmth and kindness that we immediately felt at home. Their attentiveness and genuine care created a welcoming atmosphere throughout our entire stay. The villas are simply spectacular, offering the perfect blend of luxury and privacy. Within their serene walls, we found the intimacy and comfort of home, paired with the elegance and beauty of a world-class retreat. The culinary experience was impeccable. Breakfasts were a delight, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day perfectly. Dinners on the beach were nothing short of magical, combining exceptional food with a mesmerizing ambiance created by the soft glow of lanterns and the sound of waves gently lapping the shore. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful manager, Yudi H., who went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of our stay was flawless. Her assistance and dedication to making us feel comfortable and cared for made our experience even more memorable. We cannot wait to return to this enchanting paradise! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a blend of relaxation, luxury, and authentic Balinese hospitality.

AustraliaThe price of champagne and bottled wine was exuberant. We were prepared to spend, but $900 for a hotel for a bottle of standard champagne seemed a little far fetched. A very minor flaw for an otherwise beautiful and stunning hotel!
A very charming and unique hotel. This entire complex feels like you’ve stepped right into a wellness retreat. It’s quiet and peaceful and made to feel like you’re in an old temple. The biggest pool I’ve ever seen in a hotel where it’s not overcrowded and plenty of room for all the guests. Staff were amazing! Extremely welcoming and professional. Breakfast was next level good. Highly recommend if you’re looking to stay away from overcrowded resorts. We didn’t have enough time to try the spa but it looked amazing!

Czech RepublicEspecially in rain season hotel can do a bit more to make customer arrival to villa better - we spent first 1 day killing tens of mosquitoes. Situation improved significantly after regular spraying and sealing few holes, but I would prefer to chill then have my mosquito kill count near 30 after first day ;). Also we met few other kinds of bugs in the room, but that comes with the nature location :). Breakfast was good, but selection is limited and after couple days starts to be repetitive Villas are nice - but there are details which are in need of maintenance (seal the holes, doors were not easy to open, mosquito net not 100% to the wall Restaurant is good, but price for cocktails was unnecessary high (comparing to other 5* locations we visited, where all of them had some happy hours, etc.)
Hotel grounds are beautiful - especially hats down how fast staff managed to get it clean after heavy rain… Staff really good - professional and positive ; did their best to accommodate also our son, even though this is not primarily family focused place Villas are big and private Pool is really nice, both for smaller kids (0,5m and adults who want to swim with 1,9m depth) Good & frequent room service After initial skepticism I was happy we stayed here. And would stay again in the future if there will be a chance

AustriaPARADISE! We couldn’t be happier with our decision to choose Jimbaran Puri, A Belmond Hotel, for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, all travel stress melted away as we checked in peacefully. Right from the first second, we were showered with warmth and attention, but in a non-intrusive way. The hotel is surrounded by lush plants and vibrant flowers, exactly as you’d imagine. The pool area is very well maintained, the loungers are top-notch, and the attentive staff here are always ready to help. You can even share a joke or have a conversation with them; they’re fascinating personalities with diverse backgrounds and life experiences. Chef Adi – the man responsible for every culinary delight. From breakfast to the lunch menu at Puri Bar, and the traditional Balinese dinner at Neyalan Restaurant on the beach, each meal was a joy. Mr. Charles Kneipp, the hotel director, has truly assembled an exceptional team. Every person contributed to our experience, making us look forward to seeing them every day. It’s pure joy to relax here and simply enjoy it all. We received so much more than we expected. This farewell will surely lead to a reunion! Thank you for everything. Thanks to everyone! AustraliaWe loved the resort and the location on the beach however Jimbaran bay outside of the resort and beach caters for Indonesian locals. It is completely different to Seminyak with little shopping boutiques, limited restuarants, limited massage shops. There are many restuarants on the beach, but they were all very simple. We loved the resort and glad we went but would prefer other parts of Bali to Jimbaran Bay.
This is a beautiful resort nestled on Jimbaran beach. The rooms are lovely and spacious with a comfortable bed, seating area and bathroom. The staff are all extremely friendly and will do anything to assist. The beach chairs were a lovely place to sit and read. The beach was very clean, with some waves to make it interesting. At cocktail hour you always received a lovely snack to eat while enjoying your cocktail. The restaurant was a lovely place to dine at night and would definitely recommend.
