How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewIt was clean and linens were clean. The A/C works. The rooftop infinity pool is wonderful. So, Book the Hotel Louis Kienne Pemuda instead for the swimming pool that’s connected to this apartment building.
So many things were terrible about this apartment. I’m a long time Superhost on other furnished rental platforms. This apartment had the WORST MOTHBALL SMELL that gave me an intense headache and permeated our luggage after the 2 night stay. I removed the mothballs, but it still was so strong. The listing says there are more beds, but there is only 2 double beds and a foam fold out “single couch bed”. There’s no other furniture in the living room or tables. You have nowhere to sit. The kitchen table had 4 small stools and we had 6 people. There’s not enough coffee cups, silverware or dishes for making meals in the space. The counter space is so limited, it’s hard to even cook or make a meal. It was terrible. The space is a bit depressing as everything needs up keep, the walls are scuffed up badly, the bathroom sink leaks, the toilet seat doesn’t close right. The bathroom is wet because of the leak and dingy. I would not recommend this apartment. Book somewhere else since the options are abundant in Semarang.

As indicate in the listing that there is 2 bedroom for 4 person. There is also sofa bed that you can used for free that can fit 2 children or 1 adult. This apartment consider big enough almost 58sqm, but if we put a lot of think In the living room, it will feel very narrow. We also have a picture in the listing, and we not adding something that we not provide. You text me couple of time, and I answered. You can ask extra bed if you want also. We provide enough things for short stay guest at our place. For the toilet, I just check and there is no problem also in there, no bathroom sink leak or such things. Still don't understand what's going on. Anyway, Thank you for staying at our place and your advice will make us better in the future. There always better place than ours with a better price too.

Verified reviewThe place is small but it has everything you need mostly. The AC runs smoothly and cold. The host is attentive and will answer any questions/needs you have. The check in is easy. Parking is 20k/day or 3k/hour.
The parking lot is very very tight turning and narrow, i almost scratched my car there. Whoever designed that parking lot gotta be fired. There are so many scratch marks on the walls of the parking garage going up, i bet so many cars hit the wall going up the ramp. You have to be very careful especially if you drive a bigger car. The water drainage in the bathroom was clogged, it took a long time for water to go down. It definitely needs some chemical to release those clogs.

Verified review- wifi connection was great - air conditioner were working very well - complete amenities (shampoo, soap, towels) - iron & hair dryer are available - complete kitchen utensils, electric stove, refrigerator, dispenser and microwave also available - very comfortable bed & pillows - apartment facilities were great (infinity pool at the rooftop, easy to find parking lot)
