Such a stunning hotel in a classic colonial-esque setting. Gorgeous buildings surrounded by beautiful gardens in a quiet part of Salatiga. The room was large with extremely high ceiling (and doors), very comfortable and classic furniture. The service was fabulous and the food & drink were excellent. Can't wait to come back!

Some guy burning waste in the neighbourhood. Not the hotel though.

Beautiful and mature garden. Lovely residential area, great for morning strides.

We booked a budget room which had no views outside. The other rooms seems much better to appreciate the fantastic tropical garden. The feeling of the resort was very relaxed and comfy. Due to the rainy season It was very calm. We did a self organised trip to a huge waterfall in the area. Steep descent in the jungle. Also the markets in Salatiga are worthwile visiting.

I love the copper bath up. So unique and hold the heat for a long time. The garden was beautiful and well maintained.

The staff were nice. Big and comfy bed. My favourite is the big bathtub from stone that can keep warm water longer. Breakfast was good and many choices. I would like to come back again.

There were some insects on our ceiling that made us felt uncomfortable to sleep. Grateful that the hotel allowed us to change room so that my family and I could sleep very well.

The wifi is not stable, I had to log in every 5 to 20 minutes. The staff really tried to find solutions. I think they better use another wifi solution.

Botanical garden and the spa was really nice. I love that the hotel is minimising plastic by having water dispenser, instead of bottled water.

Beautiful hotel, but noisy at night, smelly pipes, and basic breakfast.

The hotel has a lot of charm, with stunning colonial-style architecture, a peaceful pool area, and a beautiful overall design. I really appreciated the ambiance and aesthetic — it feels like a special place. However, a few aspects made the stay less enjoyable. The room, while decent in layout, is in urgent need of renovation — repainting and plumbing improvements are clearly necessary, especially with the persistent smell from the bathroom pipes. Noise from the surrounding area, including loud music, continued well past 11 PM, which made it difficult to rest. I understand the central location comes with city life, but better sound insulation or noise control would really help. Lastly, breakfast could be improved — the current options felt limited. Switching to an à la carte menu using fresh, high-quality local ingredients could really elevate the experience.

I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the hotel — the colonial-style architecture is beautiful, the pool area is serene, and the design details throughout the property are impressive. It’s a charming place with a lot of character and a peaceful ambiance.

We couldn’t turn off the balcony light so it disrupted my sleep. No sheet of blanket on the bed, only quilt so needed the aircon on all night. Waste of power and money. A top sheet (spray) and thin blanket would have been much more comfortable

    Loved it. Peaceful and green.
