Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Everything! The staff, the peacefulness, the bungalow, the food, the diving! Everything was made with profession and always put us in the first place. Diving was secure and Jimmy made our experience awesome in Bunaken with a lot of turtles and rays. Grace made everything from food, our comfort in the bungalow and evening chat to an unforgettable stay! The boat crew were amazing! Took us out for an extra tour to see dolphins but unfortunately they were not to be seen. Thank you all; Grace, Jimmy, Ebing, Iwan, Robi, Miguel and Memi for an incredible stay and thanks to the owner Changli for having such a good communication before we checked in. We will never forget you!

NetherlandsThe wifi was patchy at times and water pressure on the showers somewhat inconsistent. I trust these can be resolved. In Manado as elsewhere in Indonesia, plastic rubbish in the sea is a real eye-sore. It varies a bit per day and the resort at least seems to make active efforts to avoid plastic waste (no single-use plastic around) and helps to extract and transport waste from Bunaken island.
The place is cosy with a family vibe, truly Indonesian, but aware of Western pet peeves. Meals were like a traditional family dinner, but the attentive staff made sure the kids had some comfort foods with french fries and satay, club sandwiches, pancakes and plenty of nutella. They also picked up what our kids liked (watermelon) and made sure to have it on stock. When they heard my daughter would be celebrating her 12th birthday during our stay, they arranged a cake, decorations and live music. It was a pretty great way to top off the day after getting her junior open water diver license. Rooms are spacious; the resort is with five units pretty intimate - which works well when like-minded guests are around; the location gets you to dive spots in 15 min from the resort's own jetty, but offers non-divers lots of flexibility to explore on land. One week is clearly not enough time to explore the area with volcanoes, waterfalls, local culture and jungle within 50 km around. Still, it was amazing to witness my daughter pass her open water diver skills under water and then pet a sea turtle together. The reef in front of the resort was an unexpected snorkeling delight, with very healthy-looking coral and a beautiful transition from mangrove, to sea grass to coral. A young moray eel lives 10 m from the jetty. The fact that sea grass remains intact around the jetty despite constant boat traffic is a testament to the care taken to keep the ecosystem intact. We spent another three weeks in Indonesia in all sorts of accommodations, including 5-star hotels, but Lekker Gezellig was my two daughters' favorite.

GermanyNothing.
We had a really wonderful stay and a great time at Lekker Gezellig. It is only 10 minutes boat ride to Bunaken. The cottage is clean and comfortable. Any issues were taken care of immediately. We love the quietness of the place with birds singing and animal sounds around. The staff and dive crews are super friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed the days we spent on the boat diving and snorkelling. The food was delicious and the cook can cater to our wishes and the children's preference. We also had a really nice chat with Changli, the owner, who is super attentive and accommodating. At the end of our stay we went on small boats to see the Tarsius family living in the mangrove. Thank you to all the staff for the hospitality. We hope to return again one day :)

Germany/
I highly recommend this place if you like to dive around Bunaken and Silanden island and choose to stay on the mainland. SERVICE I spend 5 days at Lekker Gezellig resort and felt like part of the family right from the beginning. Everyone was super friendly and treated me really nice the whole time. For example: Even the request of washing many of my clothes has been organzied & executed within one day. ROOMS Rooms are super comfy and have everything that you need. They are cleaned every day and you always get new towels if you want them (if you decide for the environment to stick with the used ones, that’s also fine). If you need anything in addition you can just ask for it and Inka and Grace will make it happen for you. FOOD You are served 3 meals daily and everything is freshly prepared - so if you have any allergies or don’t like something you can just tell the chef Mas. For breakfast there is coffee, juice, toast, kaya, jam and any kind of freshly prepared eggs. For lunch and dinner the chef creates super yummy and different dishes every time. If you go for two dives in the morning, you will have lunch at Bunaken island which is a highlight as well 🫶 DIVING Bunaken is one of the nicest place I have ever been to. To give a reference I already dove in Raja Ampat, Indonesia and Sipandan, Borneo. I think I never dove with so many turtles before - like 6-8 in one view. Luckly, I have also seen three eagles rays and some sharks during my 6 dives around Bunaken (which is quite rare). However, honestly just for the amazing coral walls I would jump in again 🩵 Yanex, the resort‘s dive instructor, is highly professional and every experienced. I felt safe with him the whole time. The boat crew is amazing - you just have to carry your personal belongings. Everything else is cared for (tank, BCD, weight, fins, etc.) LOCATION Lekker Gezellig is for relaxing. There is not really much around the resort.

SwitzerlandOur stay at Lekker Gezellig was truly delightful! As their very first guests, we were warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly staff who efficiently resolved any issues we encountered. The bed in our room was very comfortable. While the bath could have been a little bit cleaner, it was still perfectly acceptable. The diving equipment, though slightly aged, performed well and added to our diving experience. A highlight was definitely the food – absolutely awesome and delicious! It's worth noting that this resort is perfect for diving enthusiasts as there isn't much else to do, but the diving spots are phenomenal. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable diving getaway.
