Great central location only a short walk from central ubud. Great big comfy bed. Very friendly family who looked after us well. We loved the terrace to sit out on. The owner even waited up for us as we arrived at 3am.

What a lovely place to stay in Ubud! Perfect location in the center but still wonderfully quiet. This cute homestay is full of culture, and Made and his family are so lovely. Not to mention their little dog Pollo, who greeted us upon arrival and came by to say goodbye when we left. We had a great experience with a nice spot to relax after busy days exploring Ubud. I highly recommend it if you're looking for great value for money.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. Great central location, quiet, and everything you need. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The family was amazing, I'm so glad Made was the first person I met in Bali. Be warned, if you show any love to their cute pomeranian Rolo, he will be your best friend for the whole stay.

We stayed only one night in Mahaguna as our original hotel didn't have any vacancies for our final night in Ubud. The original hotel had been on the outskirts of Ubud whereas Mahaguna is right in the beating heart of the town- and it was really interesting to also have this experience. So first of all I liked the excellent location, a stones throw from cafes, restaurants, shops, monkey forest and other attractions. Also your room at Mahaguna is part of the traditional Balinese house which has absolutely stunning architecture. I could have taken endless photos! For this reason, the building was very memorable. The rooms itself was a standard room set up with wet rooms en suite, ample storage and was very very clean. Overall, for the price, this was great value for money.

Please note, due to its central proximity, you can hear the town at night.

Great location which is close to the main street in Ubud. The family hosts are very welcoming. They help us with the luggage and are very kind. The room in the 2nd floor is clean and the bed is very comfortable and big. It's also very nice in the morning with simple breakfast included with the view to the road.

The standard room shower runs a little slow and the towels needs more sunlight to be dry. Besides that, all are good.

Great place to stay! Made and his family are great and have made sure that we have felt as comfortable as at home. It's a shame we only had 3 days, but we'll definitely come again!

The host was the best person. I'll never forget such goodness in this lifetime. He helped us when our phone got lost, also helped us even 2 days after the booking was over when we got sick and he and his wife took us to the clinic. They also have a cute dog named polo! Very friendly ! The breakfast was decent, the omelette was nice. I'll stay here again when I come back. The rooms were clean and had a nice view as well. People in bali are friendly but this host was exceptional!

I really enjoyed my stay here. Everything was clean and worked well. The location couldn't have been better for exploring Ubud on foot. There are lots of restaurants nearby and you can just walk to Monkey Forest, Art Market and the palaces. Good price for value!

This place is crazy good! I would 100% stay there again. The location is right in the middle of everything yet the place is quiet. The rooms look new and renovated, and everyone there is super friendly. I wish I could give more score than a 10!

    Nothing. Perfect perfect perfect.

Mahaguna Ubud offers impeccably clean and well-maintained rooms with excellent air conditioning and entertainment. The hosts were incredibly kind and even assisted us with laundry. Made and his family were truly compassionate going out of their way to help us get medicine in rain for my sick child. What more we need other than being around beautiful human beings and nature. My friends & myself and family will definitely return here in the future.

It would be helpful to have a kettle which isn’t a major issue, it’s just a suggestion for improvement.
