We didn't have mosquito net in the bungalow, not all rooms have it

The pool with the view among the palm trees, good food, directly on the beach. Shower outside with the sky view was really nice. The staff was very nice and helpful, we got the full itinerary written for 2 days (which was really good) and they helped to arrange the car and bike.

Mario’s exceeded our expectations at the end of our Sumba holiday. It’s a well developed and designed hotel with rooms all facing the sea - as does the restaurant and the large pool. Only 20 minutes from the airport. Staff are friendly and responsive, although often not proactive. A great stay which we all appreciated

For a budget accommodation it was really good and I highly recommend it. This place is siutated on the beach with very easy access. The rooms were perfect for what we need, clean and had a beautiful balcony overlooking the sea. The food was great, big portions and the staff were lovely, maybe not that attentive but as soon as you asked something they were on it. They were so smiley and just really great! I would 100% come here again

-Food and drink options were very limited. A lot on the menu was unavailable and especially for vegetarians it’s quite difficult to eat in the restaurant. As there’s nothing else nearby you have no other choice than eating there. -Communication on Booking.com should be better. Reached out several times and no reply. Only when I found a number I could text.

-The staff was friendly and helpful. There was no mosquito net in our room but they installed a new one on request. Appreciate it a lot! -Nice big pool overlooking the sea. -Clean rooms.

I absolutely love Mario hotel 🏨 we’ve been staying there every time we come to Sumba and we always love it there. By now we actually feel like home there and we love the food and stuff there ! William and all the girls are always super fast to help and provide for us anything we need.

Cannot Complain on anything, the quality matches the costs of the hotel.

Nice place with beatifull view, quiet atmosphere and very helpful staff. We have been licku to be the only guests in the hotel for few days and it made our stay specifically comfortable. Sweeming pool is amazing with the cooling effect on hot Sumba.

Big problems with the payment, the second time the POS didn't work and they don't accept euros so an employee took us to the city to change the money but they don't know which bank can do it. We risked missing the flight to Denpasar and in the end I was forced to exchange euros in a shop losing 20% ​​of the value. Bring plenty of Indonesian rupiah.

Great location and friendly people. A beautiful garden and a veeeery long beach. The ocean is not very easy to negotiate if you want a swim but there's a pool. The food was good. We tried two tipologies of room: the superior and the bungalow. Both are very clean but bungalow was our favorite.

one of the best and cleanest places to stay in Sumba. My bungalow was huge, spacious and well maintained. Bathroom without a rooftop was just great. I loved everything: access to the beach, swimming pool, a lot of greenery, no mosquitos, very friendly and English speaking staff, very tasty food. The best sambal I had in Sumba.I had a strong wifi in my bungalow- strong enough to have video conference. Rich breakfast included in a price of stay I love the location as well. 20mins drive to the airport but so calm and peaceful!!

It may have been timing and remoteness but several staff were quite ill with flu like symptoms snd they were preparing and serving food we were somewhat concerned for our health. The restaurant food whilst being aspirational was very greasy and somewhat flavourless

The rest of the property was run down, in need of some TLC. And the prices of food and drink could be less.

The room was very nice and clean and comfortable. The staff was absolutely wonderful and kind. The pool was nice.

I believe they need to isolate better the rooms downstairs, too many millipedes come inside, especially when is raining a bit.

I liked the resort, is even better than pictures! The pool is clean, beautiful and has sofa stones in it! Such a dreamy place! Every room has space outside to do some yoga, workout and hang up the clothes for drying. There are a lot of butterflies during the day and frogs during the night (don’t worry because you will not hear them from the room during the night, they are just a beautiful asset when you go for an evening walk around) Is just near the beach, and you can see it from the room.
