How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewThe staff at the property was very responsive and very helpful. The property is well maintained and very charming with lovely view over the rice fields. It is located a bit outside the center which is perfect if you are looking to stay in a more quieter environments and there are still plenty of restaurants and cafe near by.

Verified reviewMy husband and I had 3 fabulous nights in this lovely retreat overlooking the rice fields. we thought it was paradise. The staff were so friendly and warm. Service was excellent and the location so peaceful and serene. The breakfasts were excellent and so was dinner. We ate there for 2 nights, and we also appreciated the afternoon tea provided every day. We would highly recommend this accommodation and will definitely book another stay the next time we travel to Bali. We liked how it was out of the busy part of central Ubud but a taxi or shuttle bus took us in there when we needed to visit.

Verified reviewI had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. Everything was perfect – the surroundings were peaceful and absolutely stunning. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared each morning. My room was modern, spotless, and very comfortable. As a solo traveler, I felt completely relaxed, safe, and well taken care of. Highly recommended!

Verified reviewIt was absolutely wonderful. The staff is very attentive and polite. The buglaw was very nice, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The cheff is very skilled and every meal was delicious. Additionally, the breakfast is not the usual buffet but a la carte (included). The pool with the view on the rice fields was magnificent . We did not try any of the packages (tours, spas, ...) but the price was very fair. Additionally they have a shuttle (they call a driver) 3 times a day to go to Ubud and to get picked up from there which was very convenient. The location of the hotel is perfect, it's very close to the city center for activities but away from the noise. It is a hidden gem that I did not expect to find there. We left recharged. thank you to the staff for making our stay so lovely.
The only negative part is that it''s a bit humid in the room and the air conditioner is noisy.

Verified reviewGorgeous hotel surrounded by beautiful rice paddies. Lovely pool area and delicious food. We were upgraded our first night and it was a beautiful suite. Even the standard rooms were really nice and spacious with outdoor patios to sit, sip a drink and watch the sun go down. Very friendly and attentive staff.

The building is old and the rooms need updating. It would be nice to have an ironing board in the room or a clothes dryer to hang our wet swimsuits out. The restaurant is nice, but very overpriced.

Verified reviewThe rice fields and the restaurant facing them are exceptional. We enjoyed the a la cart breakfast. The staff was kind, welcoming and receptive to our requests.
The pool could do with a bit more cleaning: the water had a white/grey hue (I'm not sure if it was from the chlorine) and there were organic remains in the water. The villas share a wall that offers no noise insulation: we could hear the next door guests plug stuff into their socket, conversation, TV, etc. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a courtain which doesn't cover the whole entryway: little to no privacy when taking a shower. No hand shower head which is a big negative for families with kids.

Verified reviewThis place is absolutely beautiful. The yoga classes were excellent, and the photoshoot was such a lovely experience. There’s a deep sense of peace here—I spent Nyepi at the property and it was the perfect setting for it. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. My room was stunning, with a beautiful bathtub. The restaurant offers a wide variety of options, and everything I tried was delicious. I truly recommend this place!
