Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. - very poor/ridiculous water pressure in the bathroom, rincing hair takes long minutes, the water is a bit salty (there is no hot water on the island) - taps are dirty. - no cleaning is done or bins emptied until we ask for it - no much furniture in the bungalow - just one light was working in my bungalow so it was a bit dark
- good location a few minutes away from the harbour and a supermarket 1m away - lovely staff - good breakfast (pancakes and fruits) - many cats around - nice terrace for each bungalow - good wifi and AC

They should improve a bit the quality of the breakfast. We didn’t have hot water.
Good location, close to the port. Air conditioning. Soap and shampoo were available. The host was very polite. They also offered laundry service.

The twin room we stayed in definitely smelt of damp and was very musty. The only bad thing about or stay but the beds were comfortable and it had an outdoor shower that I liked
Beautiful quiet property with a lovely pool area and gardens. They cleaned our room every day and we were allowed to use the kitchen and help ourselves to water. Lovely friendly staff who helped organise trips.

It was our third time. Basic but spacious bungalows in beautiful frangipani garden setting. Convenient location in centre of village and walking distance from the pier. Local hospitality and culture including the early morning call for prayer. Bicycles and snorkeling gear for hire AND the best banana pancakes for breakfast.

Low water pressure in the bathroom. Probably just calced showerheads.
Irwan is a great host. Very open and friendly and always ready to help. Great location, tasty breakfast, spacious room.

I was little bit confused where to go to check in but looks like the owners live in the first two cottages so it just took couple of minutes to find someone
Good breakfast, staff very friendly, good aircon, had issues with shower but that was immediately fixed when I mentioned it, had also little issue with door lock but learned a trick how to master it. Light in the bathroom didn’t work but I was warned about it and the owner apologized about the issue.

All was okay
The owner has always been kind and helpful. The garden is very beautiful with many frangipani trees. The breakfast was okay too. It takes only 5 minutes walking from the harbour

Room 2 a/c didn't cool room compared to what I saw in room 4. Like a lot of places on the island the mosquitoes were around so big spray is necessary.
Breakfast was tea or coffee, banana pancake or egg options. Family was friendly and let us check in earlier and check out slightly later.

We were unsure at first if breakfast was included. Turns out it was but wasn't too clear on the booking detail so we missed the first morning of breakfast.
Clean and comfortable. Good location . Friendly and helpful staff. We were always greeted by a group of cute cats in the evening which was a highlight for us. We would definitely stay again.

Something to know, there’s not hot water, for us was okay because we stayed 2 days and we’re not picky

A/C didn't really cool down the place, they could add some small fruit platter to the breakfast although they are super nice and serve it right in the bungalow, it is a general flaw but the water is salty so it's not pleasant to shower or brush your teeth.
Perfect location, super close from the harbor (walking distance), breakfast was basic but OK (missed some fruit) and the room is spacious.

A fridge and kettle would be nice, but that’s certainly not a complaint, I was very happy with the room.
Great stay, room was clean, owner was very nice and spoke good English. We arrived very early and he let us store our bags for a few hours, and then allowed us in the room once it was ready. Really impressed for the price of the room.
