Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanThey don't have hair dryers as most of the accommodations in Indonesia. I had used to it while traveling in Indonesia but if you had to have one you'd better get one for yourself.
Super comfortable for solo traveller! The staff is amazing and super helpful (Thank you Reyhan!). It's near the train station and you can book tours with them.

United KingdomI had just a one night stay in Moshi Moshi as was using it for a trip to Mount Bromo which was organised by Moshi Moshi, the trip was very good value compared to any others that I had seen. Also i had a wonderful driver. For the brief time I was in the accomodation everything was fine and the staff were all super helpful, they even collected me from the train station, despite just being a 5 minute walk. All communications via whatsapp prior to my trip were very good.

GermanyFriendly and helpful staff, even though not everyone spoke much English we could easily understand each other. I rented a scooter from them, everything alright. The twin beds room is small and basic, but it was all I needed, and it had an AC. There's only one bathroom to share among 4 rooms (1 dorm and 3 double). Luckily (for me) there were not too many people staying there at the time, otherwise may be difficult to get hold of it. There was a cute and friendly cat around the common area.

PortugalThe room is really basic and a little bit old, the toilet wasn’t properly clean but in general and for one night I thing it’s ok if you’re not too picky. If you want a little bit more comfort, maybe try the new private en-suite rooms.
Very handy place if you are reaching Probolinggo by train (1km from the train station). Basically they have a new area - rooms with WC, and an old area - rooms with sharing WC. Since we stayed only 1 night we chose a room with sharing toilet.

SpainThere is only one toilet for too many people. Wifi was not working. Tours are a lil expensive, you can find it cheaper talking to locals or managing yourself. Bromo jeep is not made for 6 people, too tight
Easy communication with the staff and they were so nice. Rooms for two are comfortable. Staff help you organising tours. And they picked us up from the bus station!

United StatesThe accommodations are very basic. Just a bed in a small room - BUT the family is very nice and kind. They kept checking in to see if I needed anything. The AC and WiFi worked fine. It is a short walk to the train station. They helped me with booking transport to Bromo. It is not fancy and will not be for everyone, but if you need a place to crash and rest - it will fit the bill. They are also attached to a massage spa, so I got an amazing massage for a real good price!

United KingdomThe surroundings and bathroom aren't the cleanest, but for what you pay it's absolutely worth the price!
Great place to stay before going to Bromo, the family is super friendly and helpful. They always greet you, smile and are are very responsive. I booked the night before and they organised everything for me to go to Bromo. They were ready to help me at 1.30 am and show me to the driver, the mom even gave me a little woop woop before heading off!

HungaryThe bathroom for us and the lack of cleanliness there definitely was a negative experience 😔 If this one thing could be improved I would be happy to stay here again though!
The family that owns and runs the place is super friendly and helpful, always smiling 😊 You can tell that they know how hostels usually work, there is a kitchen to use, tons of information everywhere on tours, getting around, ATMs and everything. The bed was comfortable and the sheets are clean, towels provided 👌🏽 They also had a water refill station which we appreciated a lot! Good value for the money we paid 😊
