How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewStayed for the Rinjani 100 race weekend. It seemed a little expensive, and the wall in the room didn't offer much sound protection from the room next door. But the hotel is the main race venue so location couldn't be better. The facilities, staff, food, etc were all great too. When the clouds cleared there was also a perfect view of Rinjani from the room's verandah. So despite the price and the noise I would still strongly recommend, especially for the R100 race weekend.
A bit expensive and sometimes noisy as the room offered very little sound protection from the adjacent room.

Verified reviewThe location near the Rinjani entrance
The hotel has several bungalow. Each bungalow has 2 rooms, 1 room is adjacent to the other room. Sounds from adjacent room, such as conversations, television noise, or even intimate activities, can be easily heard. Upon check in, no linen in the room... they only provide a blanket...I guess not even clean between 2 clients On Friday, between 12pm and 2pm, the restaurant was closed... because the chef went to the mosque for praying... The staff is not really friendly

Verified reviewA lobby, and a row of 20 small wooden cabins. At 1100 meter above sea level, colder than the coast. The first hotel in a month of traveling in Indonesia which did not offer us a pick up ride, a omen. Lombok perhaps has lost more income to the Covid lockdowns of the past than any other islands of Indonesia and is still not able to recover from the loss of tourism. Nice garden and swimmingpools. Orchids fixed on trees, Plumeria, flowering trees, some native Javan deer in a cage. Cabins overlooking the nice garden, swimmingpools and a nice vulcano view on mount Rinjani. The mount of the vulcano is about a 14 hour hike from the hotel. ‘They say’ it is a mess up there; thrash, litter and human waste which is left behind spoiling the spectacular view. Time for a clean-up perhaps? Direct neighbor is one of the mosques of the village, if 3 times or more prayer calls a day by loud public adress speakers are your thing… this can be your walhalla. Diner is next to the lobby in cold fluorescent lights, the hamburger we ordered is tiny, as is the portion of french fries. Ox tail soup was ok. Fish and chips for the kid took hours longer than the rest of the diner and when served was about ten french fries and two nuggets. Way too small. Madurodam style food. The ‘hotel’ serves Bintang beer, that’s the first plus, only to find out that after 2 beers they ran ‘out of stock’. Restaurants in the neighborhood looked as if no visitor arrived in years, maybe not a good idea to go there. No stores, supermarkets or convenience stores sell beer, wine, liquor or local arak. There is a warung selling sata ayam and sate saki on the street and some convenience stores. There is no cutlery or china in the room of the hotel besides some dirty teacups. Indomie soup in a cup and some krupuk from the convenience store nearby is your best chance for breakfast, lunch and diner (if you wish to skip what the hotel serves).

Verified reviewGood location. It has potential but comes up short in most areas. Needs some professional management.
Booked with booking.com at 600,000 per night then found direct price was about 350,000 and on closer inspection property was on other platforms at that price. No better way to annoy someone than to make them feel ripped off. All comments about smelly bathrooms etc from other reviews are correct. I should have read them before booking...

Verified reviewThe location facing Rinjani
Rooms are very noisy, you can hear all the conversation of your neighbors as there is just a wall partition between the wall. On friday, the chef at restaurant was not working during between 11.30am and 2pm as he was praying at the mosque. No sheet in the rooms, i had to ask the reception and they told me it s loke that, rooms only has blanket, after complaining they provided a duvet blanket.
