Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ChinaFor people who want to travel around the island, the hotel is really far from everywhere. There is no shops around the place so you can only get everything from the hotel. Luckily they have currency exchange(10%taxes) and you can pay a lot of things with card. We ate our dinner in the villa the first day and we forgot to call the staff to clean up the mess so the other day we found ants in our sink(on the 2nd floor). I believe it’s partly because I fed the cat and didn’t clean up the leftovers on the floor outside. We believe there are also rats living in the villa because we heard noises at night and my friend found mice scrap on the first floor(we had a sofa bed on the first floor because there was three of us). We didn’t stay here very long so we found it tolerable, but if you are particular about the living environment, you may find it worrying. Also, every Villa can only provide 30 litters of hot water every time so if you use up all the hot water, you have to wait for about one hour to have more.
Very friendly staff, there are some cats around the hotel(I like them), good environment and facilities, the stay was relatively cheap considering the two-floor Villa with a private swimming pool.

Singapore“The villa offers exceptional privacy and undeniable beauty; however, its seclusion results in limited access to nearby amenities, which introduces a degree of inconvenience.

SingaporeWe didn't have good internet or food, there were loads of insects* I fell sick with dengue so do check for mosquitoes etc... they didn't have an on-site doctor as stated in the welcome booklet but they did offer to drive us to clinic or pharmacy to get medicine. Overall was a pleasant stay but just take extra precautions on insects
It was very modern and away from the town area, perfect for a getaway. I think watersports and other activities available are definitely worth doing in bigger groups. Massage package that was located and hosted by a different resort was nice, but be warned of LOADS OF INSECTS!!!

Singaporethe room has no proper table and chairs for us to enjoy our meals in the room. we had to eat at the high bartop table and high chairs which were too high and uncomfortable. not suitable for having our meals. not elderly or kid friendly. pls consider including normal table and chairs suitable for all ages. breakfast buffet was decent but probably could include more variety. breakfast area could be alot cooler especially in the very hot weather currently. turn on aircon or consider more fans.
we stayed in villa isla and it was clean, spacious and beautiful with a stunning view. similar to what is advertised in pictures. overall resort looks new and well-maintained. restaurants look fresh and clean. service was impeccable. staff were very friendly and helpful. drove us in a buggy to our villa, without us asking. we had a baby and stroller so it was a great help.

SingaporeThe doors to the rooms are flimsy. If the private pool is longer, would be great. The place has many mozzies. The beach is not clean but water is relatively clean.
The villa has 2 floors and the room is comfortable. The bathroom is big and clean. There is a small private pool on L1 which is good for beer and chats. The room provided 2 pairs of slippers. Overall, the room is great!

SingaporeLimited activity and location is very far. To find a place to dine and eat beside the hotel resaturant is nowhere near. You need to rent / pay for transportation at the resort to move around.
The villa that we stayed is humongous and very quiet and serene. There's a variety of tasty food spreads during breakfast. All their staff are friendly. Look forward to come again. But I would like to propose if possible do have a schedule shuttle to and fro Plaza Lagoi / Tanjung Pinang opportunity for guest as it helps to make their experience much better and stay in One Of A Kind longer.

SingaporeWhile we loved the space and the view, the place could use some maintenance. We understand that maintaining a beachfront property is tough due to constant exposure to salt, moisture, and storms that accelerate wear and tear on everything from paint to plumbing, which I assume has caused things like mould and rust that we saw in toilet, as well as on the floating buoy. The doors, in particular, were a daily struggle — they didn’t close or open easily, which was a bit frustrating. At the same time, the entire unit had quite a lingering stale smell (the auto air-fresheners were empty) and stains on the sofa (could be fixed with regular deep cleaning). Some other small gripes were that bars were not open (you could get a drink from their restaurant downstairs to bring it up there though), their 'Kindness Store' was perpetually closed, and the Wi-Fi was quite spotty as well. The staff were friendly and clearly trying their best, but it was also evident that they lacked proper training. With a bit more guidance and support, their genuine hospitality could really shine.
The spacious layout gave us plenty of room to relax, and the peaceful surroundings made it easy to unwind. The highlight was definitely the stunning sea view, which we could enjoy from morning to night. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which added a warm and personal touch to our stay. Their kindness really stood out and made us feel at home. The food was good, and the breakfast buffet was continuously replenished, which I greatly appreciate.

SingaporeThe western food from their room service. I order a fettuccine with beef bacon. Once I received the food, it tasted bland and there was no beef bacon in the dish
I like the service and the room. Our room faces the ocean and we had a private pool. It was an awesome healing session with my wife. It is a perfect place to decompress after a hard day's work.

SingaporeAlso because it is not within the Bintan resorts area, this resort is quite out of the way from other places as it takes 1h+ to travel via car from the ferry terminal to the resort as well as from the resort to the different places where activities like ATV and mangrove/fireflies tours are held. The food at the restaurant for lunch and dinner was satisfactory so be sure to explore other food places outside the resort.
We enjoyed our stay as the staff were very welcoming and friendly. They never failed to have smiles on their faces and they were quick to attend to any enquiries. My friend and I attended a karaoke session on the rooftop and the staff cheered along which showed how they are always pleasant and are good sport! The massage services were also relaxing and they were patiently waiting for us even though we arrived back to our villa 30 minutes late, emphasising the staff's great service. The villa is comfortable and clean and there is a bathtub, private pool, and automatic toilet with bidet which was great. The bedroom and bathroom is spacious. The free breakfast provided good options too. It was very peaceful because the villa is not within the Bintan resorts area. We explored the beach nearby during low and high tides and encountered little crabs and fishes. The beach was not crowded which added to the serenity of the place.

SingaporeSome parts were decently clean, but others were as the reviews mentioned- can be dirty; like the items outside of the accoms. Float was left outside and collecting rainwater. Pool water is not constantly running, hence not cleaning the surface dirt/insects/ etc. woke up to see that there was a cleaner tried to clean the pool on the second day.
Great facilities and options available for you to do stuff. However quite ulu (pro & con). If you like to be away from everything, can explore this idea. However closest attraction is the snorkelling. If not, everything else is super far away.
