How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Exposed suction inlet in the pool. I leaned on the wall of the pool, and my back got sucked into a pipe inlet. It was dangerous for small children. Poor paving around the pool. It was a rolled ankle waiting to happen. There was a step in the bathroom just before the sink that you would hit your toes on every time you approached the sink. No idea why you build a ledge there. WIFI didn't work. I was advised that the WIFI might be bad at check-in and it was beyond their control(problem outside their establishment). So for the next two days, we kept trying at the hotel, and it didn't work. The rest of the island, we had no troubles. I asked again at reception and after a long discussion, they finally agreed to put a router in our room, which fixed the problem. This didn't help with wifi at pool area. Some apps would work very slowly but most apps didn't work. Unable to push beds together. We knowingly booked a twin room. But despite several messages and conversations at reception, the hotel couldn't push the beds together and make it a double. We pushed it together ourselves. I'm not sure why this was so hard for the hotel, as it's done everywhere else in the world.

Verified reviewSwimming pool Modern room Super kind staff Location away from the chaos of the central area, but still walkable The Korean restaurant on the premises is very good Direct access to the beach with free sun beds
The breakfast is really lacking variety of options, especially on the sweet side. When the hotel was completely full, the staff couldn’t manage the amount of people at breakfast, many things were missing every 5 minutes. The fact the shower doesn’t have a proper tent or glass makes the bathroom flood every time you take a shower.

Verified reviewProperty was far enough away form the main area where the bars and nightlife is. Within walking distance if you wanted to go there. Great to be able to just cross the road to the beach. Loungers and table and chairs if you wanted to eat. Large pool which we found a little to warm. Breakfast was OK could have had a Little more variety. We ate one night in restaurant and food was really good. Satay and a burger. Able to hire electric scooters and push bikes just outside. Enjoyed our stay.

Verified reviewThe location is great about a 10 min walk to the wharf but far enough from the big crowds. Pool was big and the bar staff by the pool were great. Rooms are a decent size and more of a modern look.
It’s not quite finished. The spa wasn’t opened yet as no staff to run it but the room looks quite nice once it is up and running. The shower floods out around the toilet everytime it’s used and breakfast was a small buffet style.

Verified reviewGreat location, clean
A new hotel with a lot of teething problems, the staff were inexperienced, hard to communicate with. There didn’t seem to be a manager present or guest relations person. I hope they can get their act together as it does have potential, but not up to the standards of other hotels Gili T.

Verified reviewPerfect location.. walking distance to harbor but far enough to be away from the crowds. Beautiful beach right in front of the hotel (surf spot)
There is a construction site and they started really early until after 10pm at night. The noise was not bearable. Our room was unfortunately right next to the construction. Breakfast was basic.

Verified reviewThe staff were very lovely and helpful. The a-la carte food and drinks were delicious - and quick. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Location is beautiful and quiet from the hustle and bustle from the centre of the beachfront strip. The highlight is this hotel has best pool on Gili T's beach front! The water was clean, the size and the vibe are prefect - and they play great music which isn't too loud like some of the party places on the island (when we were there it was palm beach vibes in the morning, then modern pop/rnb later in the day). While the pool furniture has faded from the sun, they're still in good condition and comfortable. I highly recommend and definitely want to stay here again for future trips to Gili T!
While the paths along the beachfront are great, the location is a hard walk from the ferry terminal if you have heavy bags. It takes approx 15 mins, which was difficult for a member of our group who isn't as able-bodied. This meant we opted for the horse and cart taxi upon our departure - which unfortunately is the only transport option on the island, and doesn't seem ethical for the welfare of the horses.
