It’s a great place for an overnight stay. They are really good at communicating through WA, you have self serve check in, AC works, Bed comfy, not moldy, what else do you need?

The main roads around the place are quite busy and a lot of traffic but that has nothing to do with the property itself.

The facilities are not well maintained.. everything is kind of old and needs fixing. There were tons of mosquitoes in room 1. Only 2 sunbeds and the wooden floor around the pool is all broken..

A lot of mosquitos in the room

The pool is really nice and it’s a quiet place. You have access to fresh water to drink and you can cook. The room was clean, we had a lot of mosquitos during the nights in our room that’s why I can’t give a 10 but except that everything was really nice. The food and drinks at the coffee next door are so good ! I recommend.

The address provided didn’t match Grab’s, forcing me to navigate to a nearby “Dog Hotel.” The room was infested with mosquitoes (as noted in prior reviews). I asked staff for mosquito repellent, but they only responded the next day—after I’d been bitten extensively and barely slept. Geckos in the room didn’t help either. No hairdryer was provided, which was inconvenient. Most frustratingly, the 11 AM checkout time is unreasonably early. After a bad night’s sleep due to mosquito bites, I overslept, and while heading to breakfast, the host relentlessly pressured me to check out. Their attitude was rude, service was poor, and they practically rushed us out without so much as a goodbye.

I’m truly disappointed to leave this review, as it’s my only negative feedback from a 7-day trip in Bali. My aim is to urge the host to improve and to warn potential guests.The homestay is affordable and decently located. The pool and lawn are very clean, and there’s a great coffee shop nearby with an adorable cat.

We have improved quite a few things with Ramon during my stay so, I am super grateful for that :) Maybe the AC could be revisioned and the WiFi speed improved. Other than that it's just a perfect place to stay!

I love how this place is a little island of peace in the midst of the Canggu chaos. I love the plants, the garden, the pool, the chill vibes, the room decoration. I love Wayan, the super kind girl who keeps everything clean and tidy. I love Ramon, the owner who's been so helpful and so friendly anytime I was in need. I love the cafe outside the door, the girls who make me happy with breakfast every morning. I am just super happy about my choice and I will surely be back :) Thanks Ramon for creating such a beautiful safe space!

Room was quite dirty upon checking in. Hair on the shower walls, garbage not cleaned out, the sheets had a lot of stains/dirt - it seemed like they just made the bed but didn’t change the sheets after the previous guest. There is a serious mosquito infestation issue, there’s a gap in the door so they keep coming in. Even for this price, I expect a bit more effort to be put in, seems like badly trained / lazy cleaning staff

Such a nice place to stay when in canggu. It has a community garden and kitchen area, the rooms are clean and spacious. Its not far from the main road, so you are close to everything and still have a quiet place to stay. The friendly stuff takes care of everything if you need anything. You also get a discount at the cafe right in front of the accomodation. Definitely recommended :) thanks guys

Close to nirvana gym. Very clean and quiet. Full kitchen. Shower is super hot. Attentive and accommodating host. I made an error in my booking and booked for an extra night. She contacted bookings to make an exception for me to get a refund even though the booking was non refundable.

So many mosquitoes in the room I couldn’t sleep, had to end my stay early. Woke up with a lizard in my bed. Only one outlet in the entire room + no adapters. Room has 2 beds put together unlike the picture.

Really gorgeous place to stay in I wish I could’ve stayed longer. They have the cutest cat there and she ended up spending both nights in our bed she was the best!! They have ping pong table and beanbags by the pool it’s really nice.

While the bathroom could use a bit of renovation, it didn’t take away from the overall great experience. The genuine hospitality and care from the hosts more than made up for it.

We had a fantastic time at Play Karma Homestay. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. Their kindness and attentiveness made our stay truly special. The rooms are cozy and well-maintained, offering a comfortable retreat. A truly lovely place to stay – highly recommended!
