How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Overall, the hotel is decent, but the price is quite high compared to the level of service provided. The restaurant, in particular, is extremely overpriced — I was charged around $190 for a striploin steak, and the service and tax fees added another $53, bringing the total to over $240 for a single dish. Unfortunately, the food was below average in taste and didn’t justify the high cost. While the atmosphere might be appealing to some, the pricing does not match the quality or overall experience.

Verified reviewWord can’t describe our feelings about Raffles Bali. A big thank you to Gaby and Seva, they were more than amazing, helpful and kind and also the whole team. The villa is so private and beautiful, so you can really enjoy the amazing view and relax and no one can see you or disturb you. The pool is very big and clean and also infinity. We even didn’t go the main pool. The garden, all facilities in the villa are everything that you need for your incredible holiday. The restaurants and the food are for a Michelin stars - the products that they use are organic, local and very selected. The wagyu,cocktails, desserts, home made ice cream..i can only speak the best for everything. Even the in room dining was full of attention to the smallest detail and the food is different compared to the other restaurant in the resort and very delicious as well. We hope to come back very soon and enjoy the best resort in Bali. Warm greetings to everyone!

Verified reviewThis is an amazing stay with my family. We booked panoramic ocean view villa, and luckily get upgraded to presidential villa due to undergoing renovation. The presidential villa is spectacular, and is the biggest villa in the resort. The living room is spacious, so as the outdoor terrace. From the outdoor private pool, we can easily see the Bali airport not far away. The resort is so amazing, that's why we did not even go out during our stay. Our dining experience in Raffles is pleasant, complementary breakfast includes many food and drink options. We had dinner at both Rumari and Loloan, food is simply so good there. We visited the public area when we checked out on the last day. There is an infinity pool, but no many people there, as every villa already has its private pool. The beach is clean and very walkable. This is truly an unforgettable memory at Raffles, Jimbaran. I can't wait to see other Raffles hotels over the world. And I definitely recommend this resort for vacation and wedding venues.
The only shortcoming that I can think of is the resort does not provide complimentary airport transport, which should be one of the standards for luxury resorts.
