How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWalking distance to main area, next to many restaurants, convenience stores, laundromats, etc.
Place is clearly new but not well maintained. It needs to be more deeply cleaned every time a new guest comes. The pool is very small. The doors on the lower floor are just glass and easily accessed through the open entrance. It felt a bit unsafe as a solo female traveller.

Verified reviewReasonably priced and in a great location. Very close to Monkey Forest Road without the associated noise, property is located down a lane which keeps the noise down a lot. Quite new property and nicely decorated. Simple a la carte breakfast is included and the juice is freshly made to order. However the property is not well maintained. Where possible items were fixed and I received a 10% refund for the inconvenience, I would rather a well maintained room and not having to complain.
I booked a driver through the hotel to pick me up at the airport as some of the reviews said the hotel could be difficult to find. The driver who picked me up had no idea where the hotel was. Wifi was very patchy and at times I had no wifi at all, when I called this out initially staff tried to fix but then gave up and went away. When I went to follow up they said they would look into it the next day. I insisted on a fix and eventually it was established there was a problem with the router. Apparently the same for another room. The property is not well maintained. Toilet seat was broken and was fixed when asked, this would be obvious to the daily cleaning staff but obviously not bothered. Handles falling of the furniture so you couldn't use the draws. Safe was not secured to the cabinetry so someone could just pick up the safe and walk away.

Verified review- Room cleaned each day (beds made, tidy up etc) - Comfy bed - Large balcony - Nicely decorated room - Smart tv but you have to log yourself into Netflix etc. could use YouTube. - Good AC - good location with a Circle K Shop opposite and bars/restaurants within 5 minute walk. - Close to monkey forest but not close enough that it is an issue. They do not come near to the hotel.
- Shower could be luke warm at times with no way to make it hotter - yellow stains on bedding upon arrival. After complaining, we asked for the bedding to be swapped and it did get swapped on request but still had some small black marks (looked like pen) but we didn’t further complain. (Yellow stains are in photos) - lots of mosquitos around the area/balcony - bathroom was quite dark.

Verified reviewThe hotel was on a long side street with lots of bars and supermarkets which we liked. The room decor was nice.
The cleanliness of the hotel was not good. The bed sheets and towels were stained and the sink was mouldy. Both the bathroom and main door only opened halfway as the door was too big for the frame meaning that it was hard to get in and out and close doors. The plug switches didn’t function properly, the bathroom sink was hanging on and wobbly and the kettle didn’t work. We didn’t sit on our balcony as the sofa cushion was dirty.

Verified review1. Check-in was express, and even before the official one, the room was ready and delivered 10 minutes after our arrival. 2. Room is spacious, comfortable bed, smart tv with YouTube, Netflix installed. 3. In the room you have almost all you need, towels, toothpaste, bidet, kettle, water, tea .. etc. 4. Air conditioning is good, not opposed to bed, and so you can guarantee a calm and healthy sleep. 5. The room has been cleaned up every day. This is a new hotel where reality is completely matched with the pictures. 6. Staff are very kind, smiling, and cooperative. We had all we needed. 7. Pool is nice but not for a real swim, but it is good for a refresh on a hot day, yet it is barely used by residents, which was a plus for us! 8. The location was very good for us, as we dont have issues walking for long distances, it is about 15 minutes to the famous jalan monkey forest. 9. The hotel itself is situated in a dead-end street, making it quiet all day, excluding frogs and ducks singing all night 😀. 10. The view from the room is beautiful, with green fields just straightforward. 10. Check-out was really fast with a warm goodbye, we would like really to thank our hosts, we will always keep the good memories.
We had the below notes that we are sharing for the sake of improvement: 1. The balcony's door is not totally closed. This unfortunately made mosquitos in which was quite a challenge for me at least for the 1st night. 2. The lighting in the bathroom is really weak. In the night, you can barely see. 3. The ketle in the room was not fully clean. Towels and bed sheets had stains, although it smelled very clean. 4. The location requires a considerable amount of walking. It is about challenges for those who don't or can't walk a lot, specifically during the night with poor lighting in the streets around. 5. Room cleaning was quickly done with almost everything untouched, we stayed 4 nights, cups remained not washed or changed, same for towels, i believe the cleaning process should be completely reassessed and consider the above notes.

Verified reviewVery clean and quiet hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean with a balcony. Pool is well maintained and clean. Very friendly staff. In the Bisma neighborhood with nice restaurants nearby, close to the busy streets but not in the middle of the hectic Ubud

Verified reviewThe room was very clean, all fittings looked new. Comfortable bed. Efficient bathroom amenities. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is simple but well done; any variation of eggs, toast, pancakes, plus a delicious platter of fruit or fruit juice. Kettle available for tea and coffee. Rooms cleaned daily. There is a lovely spa adjacent where we had a very relaxing massage. There is a supermarket very nearby for extra bottles of water. Plenty of restaurants along the road. It takes around 25 mins walk to get into the centre crossroads in Ubud, with lots of shops and cafes on the way. We would highly recommend this accommodation.
Nothing.

The breakfast options. I wish it was a buffet. And the dining area could be a little more appealing.

Verified reviewSo spotlessly clean. Huge room well appointed and modern. LOADS of storage space. Really nice touches like the sofa in the room and a sofa on the patio rather than just chairs. Drying rack on patio. Rain shower separate to toilet so not walking over wet floor. TV was large and a smart TV for streaming services. Quiet street, basically only a day spa next door and that was the end of the road so no through traffic. At night all you could hear was the frogs opposite! Pool towels were supplied and fluffy and new. 4 sun loungers by the pool (but no shade). Never saw more than one person use them. Pool is good for a plunge not a swim but still lovely. Breakfast was simple but more than adequate with a huge fruit plate, choice of eggs or jaffles and bottomless teas and coffees (included in room price for us). Didn't want to leave!
Really close to shops and restaurants nearby, however a good 20-25 mins walk to the main centre and not an easy walk with uneven roads and busy traffic. Would not be ideal for travellers who don't walk long distances too well.
