We liked everything

This unique hotel exceeded our expectations! What really stood out is the staff: they were so professional, kind and welcoming, gave us recommendations and made sure we had everything during our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, with artwork all over and many other details decorating the space, especially the garden and pool area. The breakfast was delicious, we tried different options and everything was fresh. Would definitely repeat the experience if we get the chance to visit Yogyakarta again :)

We loved this hotel, which is really modern and well looked after. The service was amazing. Ozzy has been helpful from start to finish and I couldn’t recommend this place enough! Location is in a quiet neighbourhood but it’s very easy to get anywhere with a grab bike or car.

The breakfast was fine with a fixed menu, but not the best I have eaten around Jogja.

Spacious and comfortable room with artwork everywhere around. Ozzy is a very friendly host and was so helpful in booking train tickets for us to get to the airport. We were able to leave our luggage there before and after our stay.

This is an exceptional place to stay . The whole place has such a positive vibe and incredible energy , Minute thought has gone into every detail in this environment . Most of all the staff and owner were fantastic , in every way . I cannot thank them enough for giving me a most memorable experience in this special area . A couple of aspects that may not suit fussy guests: Given the size of the villa and privately run nature of the villa, it is not super clean. The carpets are dated and have stains. There are dusty spots around the room. But the sheets, towels and bathroom were very clean which are most important. The villa also markets itself as an art gallery and has curated art pieces around the villa as well as the suite and these images might not appeal to everyone. Writeup on the artists and the context to the pieces are also on display on the wall (Octaviyani) and are worth reading to understand the images and artistic expressions displayed. There is a booklet in the presidential suite on some of the art pieces as well (Indra).

Raintree boutique was good value for money. There were 4 of us adults in my family and were pleasantly surprised that the presidential suite room that we booked was very spacious - it was almost like a small studio apartment - had a huge bedroom with a comfortable king bed and sofa bed, a lounge room with a huge couch and coffee table, a small dining room, a sheltered patio/balcony and a small pantry with hot water dispenser. But there was no microwave oven. There was a hot water dispenser. It felt like staying in a private villa with personal service by the pleasant staff who were helpful. Breakfast menu is not wide but the food was good. We need to preorder the night before. They were happy to pack our breakfast at 3 am when we left early to catch the sunrise at borubudur. Location is convenient as it was 15mins tea from the intercity train station and malioboro street and half hour from prambanan temple. There was also a women’s spa near by, as well as a family massage place that we could walk to.

The place is amazing. Nice rooms and stunning outside space, both around the pool and other seating areas. Staff very attentive and helpful. We had the Indonesia breakfast and it was fab. A real find and absolutely recommended.

The place is very beautiful and unique with all the art, the room was large and comfortable and the breakfast options were all delicious. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful and helped me book drivers, tours, etc around town. Many thanks in particular to Ozzy for all his invaluable help!

Serenity, calm, old-school charm and warmth. Ozzy and his staff are so warm and genuine, they helped make our stay extra special. Loved the care and attention to details. Felt like we were with family and old friends.

Everything was really ok, breakfast could be a little bit more varied,fresh fruit juice would be nice, but it is a detail.

Very comfortable, small-scale boutique hotel in city centre, with strong local vibe. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Trips can be arranged from the hotel. It felt like coming home at the end of the day, we liked it a lot.

Staff are fantastic and extremely helpful. As a smaller hotel, everything is tended to your personal needs. Great location, great breakfast and a very comfortable experience overall.
