Beyond expectation for homestay near prambanan. We stayed at newly renovated villa last year for prambanan jazz but this is far better, accomodative, clean w full toiletries. Buk Herni prepared very nice and tasty breakfast. Water and tissue supply are overwhelmed. Pak Wibowo and Buk Herni really made us feel like home.

We would go back. All good for us; but some might like to know that the adjacent mosque has a loud morning PA system

Traditional feeling with heavy antique furniture and older high ceilings building. Very helpful hospitality and lovely little extras. We stayed one night but it would have been good to stay a little more. Ibu Heny is a gracious hostess and all the family we met were very friendly. Host Wibowo is enthusiastic and helpful and also a knowledgeable driver for hire.

We met the nicest hosts at this lovely accommodation. The hosts were helpful with everything, there was no request they wouldn't fulfill willingly. The lady of the house (Heni) is a wonderful cook, very kind and attentive. The owner of the house (Wibowo) is a direct, helpful and funny person who constantly provides interesting and useful information, arranges everything (transfer, sightseeing, tickets, etc.), the guest has nothing to do but relax and have a good time. The special, traditional accommodation is within walking distance of the Prambanan and Sewu temples, on a quiet street. The room is tasteful, extremely clean and meets all needs. We really loved being here, and if we return, we will stay here again. I recommend everyone who comes to Prambanan to stay here. And don't miss the dinner! Thank you for everything!

Close to Prambanan temple it is comfortable and the staff are very good. Mine host is eager to please offering transportation to sunrise spots and other attractions. The breakfast is very good, plenty of water, tea and coffee. Reliable hot water for showering and the building and furnishings are charming.

Air conditioning does not really work, although fans are provided. However still quite hot!!

Lovely and friendly family with a spacious room and comfortable bed. The home cooked food was very good. Hosts are really accommodating and able to help with any request you need. Really close to Prambanan Temple and peaceful location.

Perfect location for visiting Prambanan. In a quiet area with good communal space to relax. Wibowo was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble. He also provided good advice on the lesser but no less imporant temples in the area.

The bathroom is a wet room, which is fine, but the angling of the shower head means that the entire room gets wet. Not an issue as the room dries quite fast and flip flops are provided, but if it was possible to angle the shower head so that less of the bathroom gets wet, that would be better.

The property was great, very spacious and nicely decorated, and with comfy beds. The room was very well stocked, with international multiples, soap, even toothpaste and toothbrushes. The host was super welcoming!

This homestay is the best one you can have in Prambanan. Wibowo, the owner, is an amazing person, friendly, helpful and more importantly, he is also a tourist guide than can offer trips (for borobudur, Jomblang and Pindul caves...) and driving services for affordable and very competitive prices. You can also experience the tasty food of Wibowo Wife!I highly recommend this homestay for an original and interesting experience.

(Kein Betreff) Wibowo and his wife are very friendly and welcoming people. The accommodation is very spacious and the bed is comfortable. We were able to have dinner with the family and it was delicious. Very closed on foot to the temple but Wibowo drives us there and picks us up to make us a sight seeing tour and show us a wonderful coffee place an à great view on the top of the hill. Wibowo gives us lots of recommendations for our trip and drives us to Yogyakarta to our next hotel and there to different places to see. We had a great stay and thank our hosts very much.

Wibowo and his wife went to extraordinary lengths to let us enjoy our stay in Prambanan. He shared with great enthousiasm knowledge and tips about the area. The first evening he took the initiative to drive us to some off-the-beaten track temples. The following day we could borrow bicycles and discover some more. Unbelievable but true: because he felt we took quite some time, he drove to the temple to check if we were ok 😁 (of course we were. We were just having a great time cruising by bike across the Java countryside). General appearance and cleanliness entirely in line with the projected image on this site.

If you want a beautiful and authentic travel experience, stay at Ruma Desa Homestay!! Most tourists visit Prambanan as a day trip from Yogyakarta, but if you stay closeby you can really take your time exploring all of the temples in the area (The property is 700 metres from Candi Prambanan). We had some of the temple complexes completely to ourselves! Prambanan is also a really nice community to spend a few days in and Hany & Wibowo were exceptional hosts who looked after our every need.
