Everything except one of the staff .

I feel uncomfortable with one of the staff in the WhatsApp group who texted me to turn off the lamp at my bed after receiving a complaint from a foreigner in my room. For your information, there are no rules that prohibit me from using the bed lamp regardless of the time. I was also not making any noise, but the staff still asked me to be quiet just because of the complaint.

Staff working there are amazing - very friendly and helpful. The common areas upstairs and downstairs are cozy.

The bathrooms are awful. The toilets and showers are in the same room, which is common in SEA, but the hostel has some non-slip mats on the floor which end up having hair stuck on them. I was hoping that the mats would be moved when cleaning, but even after the bathrooms were cleaned there were lots of long hair stuck on the mats. It was very gross. The toilets are also not great. Hard to say if the liquids on the toilet seat and on the floor were water or pee. I ended up checking out a day early because of that. The location is not great. There are no restaurants or cafes around, so you always need a grab to go somewhere.

Great value for money, good air conditioning, central location close to the Kraton, great tourist guide given by the hostel.

Window wouldn’t fully shut, bathroom could be slightly less exposed to corridor.

Room was basic but comfortable. Location of the hostel was great - a short walk to the main street and close to public transport. Well equipped kitchen and communal area. They have also tried to address all the negative comments prior which is very admirable for a property owner e.g lockers for storage, gated entry for security and clean bathrooms

Really not much, we had a great time and a very pleasant stay in Yogya.

The location of the hostel is excellent — very close to the Sultan’s Palace and Malioboro. The staff is super friendly and warm. They communicate through WhatsApp and provide all the info you need for a quick and easy check-in. They reply fast too. I checked out early to visit Prambanan and asked if I could leave my backpack for a few hours — they had no problem with it. When I came back, they even let me use the shower and the kitchen. If I ever come back to Jogja, I would definitely stay here again!

Simple but great and clean hostel in a good location close to the historic centre. There is a kitchen and a shared bathroom with several showers and hot water, all cleaned regularly. Pleasant common areas, free drinking water available. We felt safe here. Wi-Fi worked without any issues. Our double room was very small, but it had a quiet air conditioner and a fan.

No storage space in the room, just four hooks and a hanger. The lads at reception didn’t speak English, but that wasn’t a problem for us—they were friendly.
