Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNo complaints whatsoever.
Location is FANTASTIC, beachfront with a short beachside walk to Legian or Petitenget. Our villa was very spacious and well appointed, the bed was very comfortable with good quality linen, our pool and the guest pools were very clean and well maintained. Like us, the room was showing it's age with some chips, dents and scratches but still very serviceable. With low guest numbers during current renovations the staff were more than keen to provide great service.

AustraliaHotel not in use, only the villas are used, the back area where we were located close the the unused hotel was run down, pathways collapsed, not lit up, rubbish piles everywhere. That area should be fenced off as we thought this was the way to the office/pool/restaurant area, until we found alternative route. However when we told them we weren't happy with our room location, they were very accommodating, and we got moved closer to the front.
The villa was gorgeous, private pool.

AustraliaThe hotel is like it’s been abandoned as driving up seemed strange as no one around. Music from beach club starts at 10am and finishes at 10pm on the dot,a little loud but you get used to it.
Loved the fact that you could just walk out to the beach straight into the sea. The breakfast was delicious although it was a choice of three set meals. I loved the Indonesia choice which I had every day.

IndiaWell it's deceiving, the resort needs renovation and it's underway I guess. The moment you walk in you notice the rundown condition of the resort from the pool to the reception. Well the villa was huge and clean , and the staff was nice. The villa comes with a garden and a small pool. Direct access to the beach with a perfect location. Breakfast was so and so. If you just stay in your villa it's a nice stay. Rest everything looks like the property was abandoned. I hope this beautiful property gets a good renovation.

AustraliaThe only suggestion I have would be to turn the volume down on the pool speakers.
We stayed in a beach front villa, very spacious and clean. Yes the majority of the resort is closed or being renovated but for us that was good, there was less people. Breakfast was excellent. Staff went above and beyond.

AustraliaIt look like a vacant property with nothing going on
The place was pretty vacant because of the hotel being shut down it looks like a vacant property in desperate need but that being said the villas were great and staff location was amazing and I would stay there again

AustraliaThe beach club adjoining front of property called Sunset Beach on a land share with hotel. The music is too loud and too hardcore club music from 7.45 am till 8/9/10 pm at night at least! Depends which night of week or weather permitting. The shared use of hotel Pool with beach club visitors. Which gives zero privacy or advantage to hotel guests at all. The fireworks in the evening went to midnight due to Ramadan. We moved villas and it was vast improvement. However, it depreciates the value of the hotel that beach club in front. It’s terrible. The food is also awful at beach club they constantly deliver food to wrong guests and staff at pool are not helpful and will not reserve seats for hotel guests. Which I believe is poor service. My plea to The Royal Beach owner should end this connection with this beach club and move back to a large hotel chain. That would lift the property back to its original level that staff and return guests deserve. With proper hotel facilities again like gym and spa for guests to enjoy and provide more employment to deserving Balinese.
The staff are wonderful especially reception. The cleanliness of villa. The location is excellent. The breakfast and staff at husk breakfast.

AustraliaNo ice not even a available to be delivered to the room, the fridge was so tiny and did not work properly. We had to get a bigger fridge delivered to the filler. Cleaning doesn't happen unless you ask and there were tiles in stones broken everywhere, lovely resort but very very old and very very tired.
We came here and stayed in one of the beautiful villas. The pool was excellent however the place is crumbling down in front of your very eyes. They have separated from the core brand and the staff are limited. However those that remain are extremely lovely and they message you via WhatsApp. The restaurant and bar in the front of the hotel are not owned by the hotel therefore you cannot charge anything to your room. It says on Google it's permanently closed and I think they are doing some renovations at the moment. I would actually avoid until Google says it's open.
