How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe host Anton, helped us with everything! Fixed diner for us when we arrived becaused our flight landed late, helped us get a better price at the best to buddha and gives us information about many things! They house was great, spacious en nicely decorated.
The staying is not directly on the main road, more like a 10min walk but grab is a easy way to get everywhere and cheap.

Verified reviewI stayed for 6 nights here. I've enjoyed every second of it. The private pool was clean and perfect for swimming (around 160cm depth). The owner and the crew were so polite and helpful. They listened to our requests. They messaged us before our arrival and greeted us. The villa was cleaned each day. The bathtub and shower room was clean and so relaxing. The breakfast was so delicious. Breakfast has 3 options: Omelette, French toast or Pancakes. I've tried all and all options are really tasty. The most amazing part of this villa is the quietness and calmness. No noise, no bike sounds or horns. Perfect for relaxing.
The only part that is a bit of letdown was the location. It's a double edged sword. On one hand you got a super quiet villa that is both reachable to Sanur Beach and Ubud. Also you can find local places and prices. But on the other hand It's far from attractions. I used the Grab most of the time so had no issue to reach touristic spots. If you rent a bike or car the villa has a parking spot which could be useful.

Insects are found..the units need Spraying pesticides bcz many flying insects and 🐜... The breakfast is so poor..manger policy is disaster..if you take coffee you can't take tea...if you chose fruits..no juice...if you take water on breakfast..no more complementary bottles.. And the quantity in breakfast is so small..one egg for omelette..no other vegetables in plate.. The worst management I have ever experienced in my whole life..and finally..I requested the manager to stay 2 hours more.when I checked out.bcz my flight was late..she said OK.. I thanked her.. After 5 minutes, the worker called saying, "You have to pay for these 2 hours....the worst management, though workers are good people." Besides there was a wizard on the wall ..and I heard its no friendly..they dragged the bed away from wall to be away from it.
In the room there are toothbrushes and toothpaste, slippers, kimono, shampoo, bath soap, please let guests who bring in rubbish food put it away in its place, because the area surrounding the villa is still natural forest

Verified reviewThe rooms are large, the pool is nice and and breakfast is good. But thats where the highlights end. Appart from that there where too many issues. No fridge in room (but it was provided a day later) , no hot water and most importantly no place to put your clothes or suitcase. Not even hangers . Next big issue was WiFi . It was very spotty for two days and as a YouTuber and Digital Nomad wifi issues for me are a big problem, so i ended up using my hotspot data instead. "Superior" rooms have no wardrobe or hangers, and not even a suitcase rack. Over all the place is ok , nice pool and decent breakfast - but for the price you can get a lot better options in the area. Staff is helpfull and freindly - and over all the place is OK

This property is a complete scam if you ask me. I think booking.com needs to consider even having it there. The photos advertised and the actual place do not match at all. The room I booked into was covered with cobwebs and there were lizards and so manny ants. It didn’t even come with a proper cupboard. The heat is surreal and the ac doesn’t always work. We had to leave the next day because we could not imagine staying there. We talked to the lady there and all she cared about was “you will not get the money back”. Did not bother about why we were leaving. A total disaster if you ask me. The place is also 45mins away from any sort of small town.

No insulation at all. Even with the aircon on the whole day, that room was an oven during night. Still can't believe there's no door for the bathroom, just a cheap curtain instead.
