How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

First you can’t find it on the map - the road to hotel is unpaved. The breakfast is terrible: you get a toast, old butter and poorly cooked scramble. Cottages are dark and poorly ventilated. You can hear roosters and karaoke all night long.

The room was a bit outdated and could have been a little bit cleaner. It looks nicer, and better maintained on the pictures, than in real life. Also, the accomodation is located pretty far from the center of Labuan Bajo. The area is not that great and there’s nothing there. You really need a scooter or other transportation, because I wouldnt advice you to go walking around.

This place does not worth what it costs. Need a a lot of improvement on installations, poor kitchen offer etc. Nothing to do with the rest of services offered in other places around Indo. It has potential but this is not well leaded.

Verified reviewI really loved this hotel, where very confortable and beautiful huts are nested in the forest. The staff is very friendly and the pool in the tropical garden is a treat.
The rooster was noisy at multiple night hours (11pm, 2 - 3 am...).

Verified reviewWas only here for one night so hard to give a full review, but it was a fairly quiet spot, surounded by well kept gardens. Nice communal pool. I only had time for one meal (mie goreng) and it was fine.
The villa was not well insulated, so the aircon had to work pretty hard to cool down. Could feel the heat from sun radiating off it. Bathroom was nice, but a bit dirty. Like it hadn't been cleaned properly after the last work was done on it. It was kind of indoor/outdoor bathroom, so there was actually a lot mosquitos in there which made it not so relaxing.

Verified reviewThe villas are in middle of nature so it feels really calm and quiet. The staff is really nice and helpful. The food is quite good and the room is really nice.
The breakfast menu could be improved: only Nasi/Mie Goreng or eggs with toast. You must have a scooter or rent a driver to move from the villas.

Verified reviewIt was clean and quiet (we were the only guests). The property is beautiful and not in the middle of chaotic Labuan, it gives space to rest and recharge. The villas are stunning, beautiful and spacious and there’s a pool to freshen up.
The sliding door to the villa doesn’t close fully so there was a lot of mosquitoes coming in. The pool is open to the public. We paid extra for breakfast but only received limited options and small portions, no fruits or juices. Overall it was good but a bit overpriced for what you get.

Verified reviewThe hotel feels like a hidden oasis—something you wouldn't expect to find in this area. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, and the staff are genuinely kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable
The room did have some insects, which might be expected in this type of setting, possibly due to small gaps in the doors and ceiling. The main concern was the bathroom—some stains in the toilet could likely be removed with a good clean and bleaching. Addressing that would really improve the experience

Verified reviewNice layout of the property with a great pool. Very quiet location. The room was great with excellent A/C, small fridge and TV. TV didn’t work but that didn’t worry us. Bed was really comfortable.
Only downside is the location is that the property is 10mins away from city centre / wharf area. We hired a motorbike (organised by the staff) which made getting round easier but if you had to do everything by taksi it would be time consuming.

Verified reviewA perfect place to retreat and relax! The cottages are nice, well sized, and comfortable and the site is just amazing. It has a great garden with beautiful views, a pool and a little restaurant next to the pool! Our kids spent hours in the pool. The staff is very friendly and even though the menu is limited, the food in the restaurant is very good.
Other people might not like the road to the property. It is through a very rural area with many houses under construction. We didnt mind, because our driver would pick us up every time we wanted to go out.

Verified reviewThese villa was just 10 minutes from airport, so it was very strategic places to stay. The vibes was amazing with the view in the middle of little forest and good pool. Breakfast absolutely very good. They cooked from the heart. Definitely I will come back again to stay. They also offer to assist arrangements for trip to explore these island such padar trip and more. So learn to know what will you do in island then catch up with them. They will help you and do the best way for you.
