A couple times it was a bit hard to find staff around for check out and that sort of thing, but I liked everyone that worked there.

Great location right by sama sama for the social vibe. I stayed in a private room/cottage and it was excellent for the price. Really comfortable, hot showers, and a little better insulated against sound (mosques) than another spot I stayed in Tetebatu

Hostel dorm is quite dark and not very spacious, but for the price paid it was good

Basic hostel, in a good location for seeing the rice fields, monkey forest and waterfall. Day tour offered by hostel owner was good and meant I saw what Tetebatu had to offer with ease.

I did not like, that I got the feeling that it's all about the money. Everywhere we vent even on the tour (rice fields and waterfalls) you have to pay extra everywhere. We got a bit upset with booking a taxi. So if you book a taxi you pay for the car. They wanted even more money because we were 3 to share the ride and the cost. It's sometimes a feeling of always getting as much money from the tourist as possible The Moschee is right next to the hostel house so be prepared for noise at 4:30 and bring some earplugs.

It was a great family atmosphere with the other travelers. So a few people including me have extended their stay. The location is nice. The nature around is nice. And we chilled at Sama Sama in the evening to have some drinks together or just chill at the pool.

Simple and cute :) Expect nothing fancy and you will be happy! The nature is stunning in Tetebatu! (FYI: No aircon, next to the muslim prayer, cold showers, BUT great, great people and very chill!)

The beds weren't that comfortable and there was quite a bit of noise in the rooms in the evening, but nothing unbearable.

It is really good place for meeting other backpackers. Also it is a good start for Rinjanji trekking (they also provide the tour). The breakfast was included and really tasty.

The position in great to visit Tetebatu and the hostel has scooter to rent that are great for that surroundings. The staff was helpful in some misunderstanding, althought some small improvements may make it even better:)

As a solo female traveller, the male staff could be quite intense. Try to keep some distance.

Everything is very nice, from the beds to the view and the restaurant. A lot of places for chilling and a beautiful and cold pool. And not expensive at all!

Well if you read other reviews you can get the picture. It’s a basic Hostel, bathrooms need improvement for privacy, hot water was not available etc, but it as a great community around it to outweigh any negative aspects. Definitely don’t skip on the earplugs you will need it.

Really easygoing vibe, if you just booked a couple nights be prepared because you will want to extend it ☺️ Luckily you can just talk with the staff and they will sorted it out for you. The best thing about this property is that you can use the facilities in Sama Sama Bungalows. So you are paying for a hostel but then you can use their pool and at night you can eat there and there is a great atmosphere going on. Live music sometimes and the people are amazing. And you can book guided walking tour from Sama Sama bungalows also, as well as transportation. I definitely recommend doing the walking tour, Figo our guide and also the cook in Sama Sama, is such an amazing guy. You can also rent a scooter in Sama Sama. Another great thing about this hostel is the location. I just walk up to the monkey forest by myself and was able to see some black monkeys, I also found some rice fields and a waterfall just 10min walking from the property(opposite direction to the monkey forest). As a tip I would recommend you to eat in Warung the monkey forest, really great food and is just 5min walk from the hostel.

Rooms are very small and you don’t have any privacy. The bathroom can only be used by one at a time.

The restaurant and cottages behind Tetebatu hostel, Sama Sama is super nice and the food there is great! All the people are very friendly and welcoming!

Bedbugs in the dorm room!! We didn't stay a single night, ran as soon as we checked the sheets. No refund offered. They just asked us to change beds (not taking that risk). They did not say they were doing anything to rectify it, so unsure on that one.

If you know Lombok, you have to deal with the noise mosks and It was too loud in the early morning. Only for this aspect I was disappointed.
