Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaI loved everything really. Rooms were quite humid though, some littles cracks in the corners of the bathroom and noisy aircon. But for the price i was very satisfied.
The staff is absolutely amazing! They are angels on earth ;) The place is a real heaven in the heart of Ubud. Peaceful swimming pool.

United KingdomWe were in a room right next to the slope downstairs above the restaurant so it was a bit noisy sometimes at night.
We had an amazing 4 days here, it’s a great base to explore ubud. The hotel facilities (gym, pool, restaurant) are outstanding, great food and service throughout. We loved it!

United KingdomOnly negative was onsite cost of food and drink. However, there are a number of local shops, bars and restaurants that are within a minutes walk and a lot more reasonable.
Hotel was great, smallish 50 bedroom boutique hotel. The booking was great value for money, very friendly staff, very nice breakfast and amenities. 20 min walk into main part of Ubud.

FranceThe only minor issue was the floor cleaning: it can be slippery and leave visible marks, though this isn’t really the staff’s fault.
Our stay in Ubud was very enjoyable. The hotel was very clean, the pool was great, and breakfast was really nice. The location was convenient — even if going into the center of Ubud on foot can be a bit tricky, it’s still accessible and often faster than by car. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, making our stay even more pleasant.

AustraliaThere was nothing that I did not like. The ind thing I will say is there are better food options on the street outside than using the hotel restaurant.
The location was great. Not right in the crazy centre, but an easy walk. The pool area was really nice and the pool itself was very large. The staff were incredibly friendly.

AustraliaThere is nothing we didn't like but there were a couple of things that could be improved. We used the gym every day and it was OK but very basic. It needs a couple more pieces of equipment and another rubber mat or two so more than one person could you use the weights. The free shuttle to and from Ubud was very much appreciated. But it would be helpful if the last return time of 7.00pm was an hour later so that eating out in Ubud town centre is not so early and so rushed.
The staff were the friendliest and most helpful we have experienced for a very long time. Our room was a very good size and the bed was comfy. We had a first floor room, with a small balcony overlooking the pool, which was lovely. The room, as well as the whole complex, was always kept very clean and tidy. The breakfast choices varied every day which was nice and the buffet was always fresh. We enjoyed having breakfast overlooking the beautiful pool. The pool was refreshing and we had a dip every day. The free Yoga session was very good. Apparently it is offered every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 7.00am in the undercover area in front of the gym. The hotel is not a large and we very much liked the intimacy of the smaller complex.

AustraliaTV internet connection was terrible with constant buffering making it unwatchable. No where to put second suitcase of my husband except the floor due to lack of storage to unpack.
Tranquil setting amongst lush garden that was exceptional. Amazing staff that were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. Beautifully appointed room wth the biggest fluffiest pillows we have ever seen! Day spa on site and small exercise area. Only a hilly 20 minute walk to Ubud central and art market. Our first trip to Ubud and will definitely go again to The Hava after arriving as strangers and leaving as friends. Highly recommend this hotel.

PakistanMost of the staff were undertrained, trainees . The complimentary afternoon tea was not good , they had only a cake piece or a small fried nugget type thing . The staff was literally rude didn’t let us have drinking water saying it’s for bark fast at teatime 🤣 they would put cookie jars in room and next day housekeeping removed from our room and didn’t clean dirty teacups …... we were like what ???
The openness and , clean and newly furnished hotel.

United KingdomA Truly Magical Stay at The Hava Ubud – A Pramana Experience I recently spent 5 unforgettable nights at The Hava Ubud, and from the moment I arrived, I was completely enchanted. This place is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Ubud, offering a perfect balance of luxury, serenity, and authentic Balinese hospitality. The staff went above and beyond every single day—always warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. I felt so welcomed and looked after throughout my stay. Whether it was arranging excursions, customizing meals, or simply answering queries, their service was impeccable. My room was beautifully designed, blending modern comfort with traditional elegance. Waking up to the sounds of nature, surrounded by lush greenery and was an experience I’ll never forget. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and every detail—from the linens to the lighting—was thoughtfully curated. The on-site restaurant served fresh, flavorful meals that highlighted local ingredients. . The pool was a daily highlight and the spa treatments were some of the most relaxing I’ve ever had. The Hava Ubud offers not just a place to stay, but a deeply restorative and soul-nourishing experience. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already dreaming of my return. If you're seeking peace, beauty, and heartfelt hospitality in Ubud, this is the place. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so special—truly a five-star experience in every way.

Stunning pool, great gym, lovely breakfast, and the rooms were spacious and beautifully designed. Lots going on to entertain, but also walkable into the Ubud for the choice there.

United KingdomAs lovely as the pool area is, it has a limited number of sun loungers and there was one day there was none left. It is quite a shaded area due to the plants. The gym is very small. It is mainly cardio equipment with some dumbbells that only go up to 15kg. To make this hotel perfect for me, I’d have liked there to be a better standard of gym with heavier weights. My partner and I were also extremely unwell following eating in the restaurant. We did also eat outside of the hotel so it could have been that but worth noting.
The hotel has a tranquil atmosphere and is exactly what we needed to relax for a few days. The pool area is stunning. I had a Balinese massage in the spa which was great value for money. The staff went over and above, they remembered our names and made each conversation personal. My partner was unwell and they always made sure to ask how he was. The room was cleaned twice a day and it felt like a very luxury experience. On arrival, we had a flower bath and an anniversary message which made it even more special.

United KingdomWe’re not sure why but our things in the room started to feel damp, we tried changing the air con settings but it didn’t seem to help, not a huge problem but just surprising, including the floor which seemed to make the floor damp, they did provide room slippers. Ubud is a very humid area so maybe this is the reason. The TV seemed temperamental to use not sure if this signal related to bad weather.
This is a fantastic hotel, the room is lovely, bathroom huge, and the staff made a huge effort to decorate the room for my birthday which we really appreciated. The food in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea is truely 5* and everything we ordered was delicious, fresh and presented with great care. All of the staff are so happy and friendly and make a real effort to say hello, good morning, good night and make sure you enjoy your day. The pool is great, very pretty, the water was a little cold so we only went in once but has been thoughtfully designed with trees and a small waterfall. A good selection of plug sockets around the bed and room, kettle and fridge, turndown service including spraying the room for mosquitos. WiFi is also good. Unfortunately we visited the Ubud monkey forest and I got bitten twice by an unprovoked monkey, (this led to multiple clinic visits, 9 injections for rabies and immunoglobulin and a huge £5000 bill, definitely recommend not visiting monkey forests anywhere in the world not just Bali as really didn’t realise the risks). However, I am so pleased this all happened while we were staying at The Hava as the staff were excellent, from the night receptionist organising for a dr and nurse to come out at 3am to our hotel room, the hotel’s shuttle driver kindly dropping us off at the medical centre, all of the staff in the restaurant (Peggy, Lola, Eprawan, and all of the staff that we didn’t catch their names) were so friendly and happy, we appreciated the hotel manager coming to find us on our last evening to check how I was following the bites and how our overall experience was.
