Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWhile it wasn't an issue for me, the resort is set slightly back from the main road, by a steep drive. It may be an issue for guests less inclined to walk a steep hill to explore past the resort. Also, the area on the main road leading to the resort is developing quickly. Let's hope the area is not too spoilt too quickly.
Staying in a River View Villa was an exceptional experience. The villa was a beautiful space, with a private pool and with inviting, thoughtful landscaping. It proved a charming, restful escape. The facilities of the resort are well maintained and the staff are friendly and attentive. The pool area - surrounded by beautiful landscaping - and restaurant are at the heart of the property though never appeared busy or crowded. Focused on a lush river valley, the resort really feels like a jungle escape though really only a short distance from central Ubud. A useful shuttle service operates between the resort and central Ubud. The street area in front of the resort has several bars, restaurants and spas that are easily accessible and makes a change from resort fare. Also easily accessible is a popular tourist 'ridge walk' that leads to Ubud town centre. The resort lends itself to being both a relaxing escape as well as a base for exploring further afield.

SingaporeNot too many dining options around and takes ~20 mins to get into Ubud city by car (with minimal traffic). Evening meals were limited to the resort options.
Staff were welcoming, and location is nice with dining options, spa and yoga space surrounded by the forest. We travelled with a 8 month old and a good baby cot was provided.

We loved the size of our room, the decoration, and all the small attentions as well as the shuttle service to Ubud centre. Very beautiful hotel, very friendly staff and a good food. We were lucky to see a dancing performance one night. Everything was just lovely.

Tranquil feeling in beautiful lush jungle surroundings plus stylish rooms and incredible food. Genuinely caring staff and manager. Can’t fault it. You can walk to Ubud in 20mins along the Campuhan ridge walk too.

United Arab EmiratesBreakfast quality could be improved a lots. For the price we pay (in such resorts), the expectation is to have more items that can be added to bring in variety. We found it repetitive and can be tiring to eat the same things (with limited options) if you stay more than 2-3 days
Went with Family (wife and kids) to celebrate my wife's birthday. The stay was for 7 nights. The team surprised us with flower decorations on the bed and a bathtub filled with exotic flowers. On top of that the Lokha team gave a surprise with a birthday cake. We opted for 02 rooms - twin and king deluxe rooms. The rooms are spacious and clean. The property is beautiful with forest surroundings, Balinese traditional settings. The spa service is very good. Staff are friendly, polite and very helpful. Recommend trying Casa da Lokha Restaurant which is just adjacent to the property. Overall, we have enjoyed our stay and the team made it a memorable stay.

AustraliaIt took 1 hour to get into the ubud centre for dinner due to heavy traffic. They offered shuttle service but you weren’t allowed to order a grab to pick you up from the resort. The hotel would have to organise it for you. Which was fine and it was so easy to arrange but it cost 100000 each way every time.
The resort was beautiful and everyone was so so friendly and nice and helped so much. Nice Balinese dancing at dinner and free 30 minutes spa massage

United StatesMore expensive than other places we stayed in Bali, and ultimately, the extra expense didn't make this stand out from the others.
Great facilities, the free shuttle to the center of Ubud was super helpful since it's a bit removed from the main areas.

IndonesiaThe road to the resort is horrible. So many potholes and decaying cement. It's a shame the village does not invest more in its infrastructure. Once I was in the resort, it was fine but leaving the resort became a giant task. The center of Ubud is also crowded, polluted and has crumbling infrastructure. While I loved Lokha Ubud, I will probably not be coming to Ubud again. It's way too dirty and chaotic.
The staff at the Lokha was incredible! They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. This was the true highlight of staying there. They even put nice flower decorations in the bathtub and on the bed for my wife's birthday.

AustraliaAbsolutely nothing!
We love coming to Lokha Ubud every year - it's our week to just reconnect, relax, and soak in the goodness of the rainforest. The staff are extraordinary and generous with their knowledge. They go out of their way to ensure you have everything you could need and are genuinely interested in ensuring your stay is special. They have recently completed some renovations, which has made a great resort even better, including an additional restaurant. The restaurants cater to the diverse cultures of their clientele with simple and delicious meals. The day spa is always a highlight - well priced, exceptional spa staff, relaxing massages, and the most delightful flower bath option that I'd suggest any couple going there should do! The peace of listening to the sounds of the rainforest and Wos River, along with the delicate scent of the flowers, is nothing short of perfect. Our pool villa never fails to please! The four-poster bed is super comfortable. The recent renovations have made great use of the space (of which there is plenty!). The bathroom is sun-soaked with an additional doorway directly to the garden, so if you want to go from the pool to the shower, you don't need to go into the bedroom first. Daily serviced room with turn down service is a beautiful touch! Oh, and did I mention the gorgeous private infinity pool in our villa, and the amazing resort infinity pool overlooks the stunning valley?! No? I almost don't want to tell people about the gorgeous Lokha Ubud because I don't want to share this very beautiful place!!! The hotel can also arrange day trips and airport transfers - as well as having a really useful shuttle bus service into Ubud between 10am - 8.30pm daily! Honestly, they will help you with anything you need! Needless to say, we love our annual trip here and can't wait to go back!

DenmarkOne thing to note for families with small children: like many other places, the hotel uses anti-insect spray on outdoor areas. While this is understandable, it may not be ideal for babies or sensitive individuals, as the smell can be strong.
We had a very positive experience at this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the facilities — including the restaurant — were good. During our stay, we had an unexpected medical emergency, and the team went above and beyond to help us. They arranged transport to the hospital, helped pack up our room, and even organized shipping our belongings to us afterward. We’re so grateful for their support. Highly recommend this hotel — not just for the comfort and amenities, but for the truly outstanding service.
