Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We had the best time at Puncak and didn’t want to leave Jean-Paul and Nury are the best hosts and nothing is a problem. From the beautiful rooms to the amazing views we were in paradise. The breakfast was really good and so was the food from the menu . The pool was simply stunning and we habitually kept taking pictures in and out of it….. We opted to use bluebird taxis in and out of sengiggi which worked well. We loved our time and were sad to leave … thanks again Jp and Nury

FranceThat we could not stay longer ! To be more pragmatic : the price for a motorbike rental is twice what you can have downtown (120k) per day vs 60k)
The view, the pool, the huge room which is like a suite, the cleanliness, the staff, the service … a big 10/10. True luxury

United KingdomThe wifi isn’t great - it didn’t bother me that much, but if you planned to work from here, I don’t think that would be viable. It’s a ten minute bike to the beach/elsewhere, so if you want somewhere within walking distance of amenities, this isn’t the place. Again, didn’t bother me as I chose to just stay in!
It’s a stunning property up in the hills of Lombok. I used it as a haven and didn’t leave, and it’s the perfect place for that. The breakfast is absolutely fabulous, the pools are gorgeous. The rooms are lovely, and I think slowly being renovated.

United KingdomNothing to dislike.
Everything. It was just magical. Spotless. The most amazing rooms and views were out of this world. Beautiful and quiet with a feeling of complete luxury in every way. Jean-Paul and his team were excellent hosts and booked a snorkelling trip for us with a driver and private boat at a reasonable cost. It was booked with a friend of the hosts called Mr Alan - Lombok amazing Panama tours. We were looked after like royalty throughout the full day trip and throughout our stay. If I could give 11/10 for both I would.

Lovely property in the hills. Very quiet when we were there (as was Senggigi in general). Great breakfast.

GermanyThe rooms are well equipped and clean. Also the bed is very comfortable, but overall the room is a few years older which you can see on the walls/floor.
The location is very quiet up on the hill above Senggigi with a beautiful view on Mount Agung in Bali. Jean-Paul and Nury were lovely hosts, very supportive in anything we needed! Breakfast was very good. A scooter is definitely needed to get around but can be easily organized with the hotel.

MalaysiaCan tell that certain parts in the toilet is a bit old like the door couldn't close properly but it's not a deal breaker. The AC wasn't as cold as I hoped but again it's not too bad.
Jean Paul and the staff was absolutely amazing with the service. My second time back and it's still great. View is always amazing as well especially the sunset. I would definitely be back again.

United KingdomThe Puncak is a charming boutique villa that offers a delightful sense of privacy and a warm, cosy atmosphere. Jean-Paul, the host, was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond in assisting us with arranging transportation, providing recommendations for local cuisine, organizing scooter rentals, and even planning a boat trip. He was always available for a friendly chat and met our needs. The breakfast at The Puncak was exceptional and stood out as the best we have ever had. The wide array of options and the tasty flavours made each morning a delight. The sunsets viewed from the villa were simply breathtaking. We found ourselves captivated by the ever-changing sky, and it felt as if time stood still while we sat there, immersed in the beauty. Our time at Lombok was incredible; regrettably, we couldn't extend our stay. The Puncak made our experience even more memorable, and we highly recommend this place to anyone seeking an exceptional retreat.

IrelandWifi is ok as it might drop as you move around the room but is solid otherwise. The hill leading up is steep: you're not walking that after a feed of pints no matter what you tell yourself. Managing cash: you will need more cash on Lombok than other parts of Indonesia (beyond control of our hosts but it might help planning ahead)
The view. Photos will not do it justice. The pool, the breakfast, the staff Pak Budi & Pak Mamek, Pak Alan, and the personal touch from Jean-Paul & Nury. The beds are big and comfy. It is close to Nipah beach and Mataram and you can organise a day trip to Gilis (North or South) easily. When the steam rises from the treeline canopy below there's a storm on the way, and you can sit back and watch it roll in. And when it clears hop back in the pool and look out on the bay with Bali in the distance. There's a restaurant nearby in Sengiggi - ask Pak Alan for the name.

SwedenI've stayed up in the hills above Senggigi for a couple of times now in different villas but never been fully satisfied until my stay at Villa Puncak. It's a great feeling knowing we have found our to go to villa for every time we return to this beautiful location. Incredible smiley staff, the breakfast was HUGE & delicious. If you're looking for a great villa with a breathtaking view, Villa Puncak is one of the best picks you can go for up in these hills!
