Spacious resort and pools nice the gym was best on town but air conditioner not always working The staff were great very helpful etc We got a discounted rate via booking. com and it was value for money compared to normal going tariff advertised.

This hotel is absolutely lovely, we had a pool room with a view over the rice paddy fields. The beds were very comfy and the bathroom was huge. It felt like we had the hotel to our selves as there is only a few rooms. The staff were exceptional and the breakfast was an al a carte menu which had enough choice for everyone. The property is about 20 minutes drive from central Sanur, we had a moped so was not an issue. The gym is also huge and has everything you would want, there are 3 x pools that can be used as well, if you want to do lengths. This place is for people who want luxury and in a quiet location, perfect for relaxation. Would highly recommend and would love to go back

Really nothing at all!

The staff at the Samata couldn't have done more to make our trip more special. The location is about a 30 min drive from the beach in Sanur in traffic so easy to get a taxi. The hotel is like the perfect oasis to relax and fully unwind. We dis rhe spa and the pricaye BBQ in our villa, both which I would really recommend. You will not go wrong staying here, it is very special!

We had an incredibly relaxing stay at this spacious resort. The daily massages were a true highlight — such a luxury to unwind every day in a peaceful setting. The gym was fantastic, well-equipped and clean, which made it easy to stay active during our trip. Service was consistently amazing — warm, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The location is also great: you can take a lovely walk through rice terraces or the nearby neighborhood to reach the beach, and there’s a conveniently located mart just around the corner for essentials like water and snacks. Though it’s situated just off the highway (super handy for heading out on day trips around the island), the resort itself is very quiet and serene. Our bed was exceptionally comfortable, and we slept so well each night. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a restful, well-connected base in Bali!

Location a little isolated, but could still book grab cars to where we needed to go. Some room furniture a little aged but given Bali climate that’s understandable! Menu a little limited, again understandable given the resort was very quiet.

Privacy, space, rural view, huge private pool. Amazing helpful staff. Well designed villa, extreme clean . Quiet location. Lovely watching bats of all species and crazy soap opera of sparrows each day. We even saw a Balinese porcupine make its way across the front of our villa. Working rice paddies were spectacular. Good breakfast, every wish granted.

The samata was very clean and the staff really friendly and helpful. It was so peaceful and just what we needed for a few days to recover from long haul flight and jet lag. It was raining a lot but we still swam in the pool and relaxed. The massage was excellent. Thank you

Just one thing was it was a bit removed from a lot of restaurants and shops so you did require transport. Although if you wanted to visit safari Park, tubing and other activity's it was much closer than being in the heart of Sunur.

On our arrival we were greeted by our host and provided with information on the villa and all surrounding tourist areas we could explore. The staff looked after us so well nothing was too much trouble for them so many beautiful smiles from them everyday. We all loved the beautiful layout of our villa so spacious more than we could have wished for. The pool was fantastic so large and clean and the various sitting and sun bed areas around the pool just awesome. The restaurant on-site served great breakfast, lunches and dinners. A huge thankyou to the staff! The ambience is incredible two huge pools, gorgeous well maintained gardens. Last but not least the gym was the best we have ever encountered on our 14 trips to Bali. So many machines and space for a great workout then to top it off a pool for a dip if required! We will definitely will be back thank you so much Samata😊

The only downside was that the 2 bedroom villa were apart. You had to walk outside to get to the room. So traveling with young children can be an issue but we managed.

This place was amazing! Had everything you need breakfast was great and also the dinner menu. Swimming pools and gym were perfect to use during holiday. The service and people had always a smile.

It's a beauty. Fantastic view with the pools and huge space in the rooms. Service smooth and delicious meal options, good vine selection. Very clean and not over crowded. Also the billiard room and the huge fitness room are just perfectly arranged

Whilst the resort is in Sanur it does take approximately 20 minutes to reach the bustling seafront tourist area by taxi because of heavy traffic. This didn’t pose any problems for us as we had plenty of time and were happy to relax at the resort for most of it.

A very relaxing resort with very attentive and friendly staff. The quality of the daily massage included in our booking was excellent. The resort had a very well equipped gym. The restaurant food was of a high quality and well presented.

This place is a gem and the staff were amazing. I stayed for a few days at the beginning of June and enjoyed every minute of it from the larger than average rooms, the pool, the quietness and the gym.

The location is bad. You can walk to the beach, but you have to walk along a large road with no sidewalk and a lot of traffic. It's not nice for adults, and it's not nice at all for kids. There is a small supermarket nearby, but then you have to cross the road. There are no obvious choices for nearby restaurants. Except for arranged tours, you are pretty stuck at the hotel. The maintenance and finish of the hotel are also not as nice as you expect from the pictures. It's clean but feels a little worn. In the villa we had (Villa 5), there was a lot of traffic noise, and the resting area was really windy throughout our stay. The pool was quite small. The two rooms are in separate buildings with a couple of bridges in between, which would have been an issue if our kids were smaller, but it works well for large kids or for two couples. I think the other villas are better in those regards.

The villas are nice and large. It's not crowded at all. The hotel restaurant serves nice food, which is beautifully presented, but the portion sizes are quite small, and it's more expensive than other hotels we've stayed at. Drinks are also expensive. Staff is very friendly.

Breakfasts are just average. They need a better cook, I think.

The gym is best. Very large and fully equipped. Pools are nice and long. The rooms have good views. The included massages are divine. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
