Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaVery cozy room, we had the room with the waterfall view and the sound of the waterfall was the best white noise I’ve experienced :) the staff is very kind and always willing to help. The location is close to city center (10 mins if no traffic).

United StatesNot much worth mentioning
It’s seclusion, the heated pool and waterfall view the staff but especially the spa ladies giving my daughter and I massages as I listened to the sound of nature, and our (1) favorite server who was so pleasant, that we ended up asking him for his recommendations on what to order, and finally the property’s manager who allowed us to stay in our One Bedroom Presidental Villa with Waterfall View, Heated Pool and Private Jacuzzi until 2:00pm which was so kind of them, since we had a late flight. If you want to escape to nature surrounding yourself with pure bliss this is the place to visit you will never forget it, as I intend to make my way back here again

Property is lovely I had booked the 2 bedroom villa with a private heated pool and it came with a spacious living room and an extra bathroom too ! It's a bit far from the kitchen but they managed to give us good service Only thing needed is soundproofing of the rooms as the adjacent rivulet makes noise at night

United KingdomThere were building works on a resort next door, however, this didn't really affect our stay too much. as the sound of the waterfall drowned out the works.
The staff were incredible, from pre-arrival communications, to organizing private excursions, local knowledge, and help within the hotel. The location was fantastic for exploring all sides of Ubud. The cost was such good value for money, the room was amazing, the view from the bedroom was so peaceful. The complimentary massage was so relaxing and such a nice touch. The breakfast was delicious, I don't normally opt for a hotel breakfast, as like to explore the local eateries, but the food was fantastic.

United KingdomThe hotel itself is very small and doesn’t have many amenities to keep occupied. This is great if you want a very quiet break. Also, the location is a little out of the way in Ubud, meaning you have to get cabs everywhere and they take forever in the traffic, around 45 minutes to go 7km. But once you get used to the traffic, there’s loads to do around the hotel.
Breakfast is fantastic, staff are incredibly attentive and provide an exception service. The spa is great too and the hotel offers plenty of excursions and transport is easy to arrange.

United Arab EmiratesThere is quite a steep staircase you have to take from the lobby down to the villas which overlooked the valley. The staff do a great job of helping you with luggage, but when you are coming in and out of the hotel to walk up and down gets a bit tiring! They’ve installed one left from halfway down to the bottom, but probably need something that can go from lobby to the villas.
The staff and facilities were excellent. The food was great, they also provided free yoga sessions twice a week with a lovely gentleman called Putu! The location is very good but unfortunately, traffic is what makes it a bit of a pain!

Our stay at The Sebali Resort was pure magic. The villa was beautiful, private, and surrounded by nature—perfect for our honeymoon. Waking up to the jungle view and enjoying breakfast by the pool felt surreal. The staff were incredibly kind and thoughtful, always making sure we were comfortable and happy. Everything felt personal and warm. Thank you to the whole team for making our trip so special. We’ll definitely be back!

The double bedroom villa rooms were amazing ,with a large sitting and dining area and an additional bathroom too ! The heated swimming pool was pure luxury and did the job of soothing off the days tiredness The adjacent forest view is lovely . On the down side the rooms do need noise proof doors and windows cause the water stream below does disturb u a little at night . Also there is no buffet breakfast - so one has to order which takes some time . Overall a great experience
