Loved the breakfast! Loved the dinner that you have to order in advance! Eddy, Pian, Egif and Altof were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was huge with a huge bed and massive balcony where you could easily spend hours. The beach that is easily reachable by a scooter was beautiful.

Loved the terrace, our bin in the bath room didn’t get emptied during our stay. We were not told that we would be charged for an extra cup of coffee during breakfast

Loved pretty much everything. Staff were incredible, we’re really helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Location is a bit out of town but not far enough to be an issue and means you are closer to sunset beach. Hiring a motorbike is a good idea.

    Nothing.

Incredibly friendly staff who organised a fantastic day snorkelling to us also - many thanks to Hari and his team! The Secret is in a wonderful location, with stunning beaches nearby. The breakfast was great, with excellent coffee and fresh fruit.

Lovely room with a great terrace and awesome view. Close to sunset beach and good breakfast

Unfortunately after our stay Hari, the manager, gave my personal data (phone number) to one of his friends because he wanted to get in contact with me. I am deeply upset that this is the way the manager handles private data; giving away personal information that he recieved via booking.com is very inappropriate. Especially as a girl I feel quite uncomfortable and would not stay there again.

I love this stay! Really good place to relax and enjoy time in Karimun jawa! Our host was perfect and all crew was really helpful and nice to us! Kind of feels like home! 10/10 highly recommended

Nothing really what I can share. Place is quite but you can hear others in your room, this is not a problem in general!

The place is beautiful. Perfect point for the sunset. Really comfortable private and shared areas. Hari took really care of us, he was very attentive and willing to help us with everything we needed to make our stay the best. He’s a legend.

Hari, the host, is an exceptional person. Booked our boat tickets for us. He organised a taxi for us and met us at the boat. He is so upbeat with an infectious smile. He told us where to go etc. The room itself was large, comfortable, and had everything you would need. A stunning view over the sea. Breakfast was ok. It is about 20 minutes walk down to Sunset beach which is beautiful. Food and drinks available including beer. The Secret is about 15 minute drive from the town. Too far for walking. They don't have a restaurant but do have beer and drinks. They can order food from a restaurant but it wasn't very good. So we ate at the beach

Definitely the best accommodation you can find on Karimunjawa! No doubts. Firstly, the place itself is great - breathtaking views to wake up every morning, very cozy atmosphere all around the villa, away from crowds and noises. Secondly, the staff with Hari and the girls that are always there to help you with everything you need, always kind and smiling. Hari went above and beyond, helping us with boat tickets, providing food that you can order with them from a place nearby, helping with any other request. The breakfast they prepare in the morning is great and you can enjoy it with the most amazing view on the island. We were also lucky enough to meet Eddy, Patricia and the kids - the owners of the villa - amazing family and amazing people. They always had a word, a story or a recommendation to share with us. There are 3 beautiful dogs, of course they sometimes bark but it was never annoying. We were so happy we got to meet all the family. Thank you, guys. The position is really close to sunset beach, 10 minutes from city centre - but you need a scooter to visit the island. You can rent it with them at good prices. If you rent the Standard Villa you share the bathroom with another room, but the room is comfortable - with ac and mosquito net plus another patio right outside where you can relax and enjoy the most stunning sunsets on the island!

A great place to stay in. An amazing view from the terrace. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, always giving you some advice. The breakfast was the best I've ever had at a homestay.

A little bit isolated but that's why it's called a secret!

Very nice hide away you've got here. It's a lovely place, quiet and away from the main village. The staff is fantastic, not everything is provided in the kitchen as per photos, but, if you need anything, they were always available to provide cuttlery (to cook), information, help. To all of the team boys and girls, many thanks. It was a real pleasure to visit The secret. There is a large choice on breakfast and it is basically on the good side of the island, having seen a good part of it, The secret is one of the good places to stay.

Our electricity quota stopped overnight during our last night, as it was maybe set to, due to the fact we were checking out on the next day. This was a bit annoying since we lost the airco, and the end of the night was not that great. It would be better if we could keep power until we do check out. A little thing about the shower as the evacuation was not that good. I informed the list of equipment provided on booking is not quite realistic, there is no washing machine, kitchen was nearly empty (even though we got provided anything we needed at anytime). So an update could be appreciated on the ad.

    Property response:

So happy to read your feedback! Unfortunately, the whole island suffers from electricity cuts, so this is beyond our control. We will refurbish the kitchen again. As every house has its own kitchen, sometimes things get misplaced. Thanks for the hint.

Hari and the other workers where extremely friendly and helpful, with renting motorbike tips and on what to do on the island- very friendly service. The room was extremely comfortable and veranda area and bathroom areas very nice and clean- the villa is lovely. The breakfast choices are great and very tasty and fresh as was the coffee- a perfect stay

Quiet and a bit further away from everything else but that’s what we really liked! Beautiful spot on earth and very sweet hotel!

A lot of Mosquitos but that’s not the fault of the hotel :)
