How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewSeminyak Villas organised a private car to meet us at airport and check-in was quick and convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the daily clean of the outside area and pool was excellent. The location is great with a supermarket and chemist next door and restaurants a short walk from the top of the driveway. The daily breakfast was convenient though average; some days we skipped it altogether and had brunch at the locate cafes.
The sunken bath tub is an accident waiting to happen! I nearly slipped into it walking to the shower.... There was no hot water in my villa but hot water in the other villa.

Verified reviewThe set out of the Villa was excellence and the pool was very good. The staff were all friendly but did struggle to speak any English.
Asked them to fix a blocked drain - took 2 days. Had an issue with hot water - never looked at. They had an issue with their freezer and had no ice but didn't offer to go get some, we had to go out and get our own. Cooked breakfast was cold every day. Cleaning was sub standard

Verified reviewStaff were helpful & friendly. The gardens to the main driveway were kept in s good condition. The Villa was kept clean & tidy on a daily basis. The beds and pillows were comfortable.
The two main trees by the pool had been cut completely back to the trunk of the tree only, i.e. no branches or foliage, which made the pool area look quite sparce. The entire Villa was quite sparce and needed additional plants & foliage around the pool area and additional artwork on walls. The fridge was too small and the kitchen was small and dated, with a very low height bench.

The kitchen was dated and dirty towel and no bottled water in bathrooms like last time I stayed. Have a water filter that was empty when we arrived and had to call reception. Coffee machine had 2 pods and we were staying 4 nights. No utensils. Mosquito zapper did not work.

Verified reviewLoved the place. In the middle of the seminyak market but you don't hear any noise in your villas. The pool was amazing and big enough for the family and friends. Rooms are big and spacious. The breakfast was also quite good. No complaints. For those that require it, there are jets in the washroom.
Maybe more options for breakfast for vegetarians but it was still good.
