Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanThe facility is a bit worn, but it’s okay.
Everything is great. The food is very good. The staffs are very helping, especially people who works in the restaurant. Didn’t have time to remember all the names, but my kids love them. Always enjoy the time we spent in the restaurant. The room we stayed is close to the pool, also a very nice view if we sat in the balcony. The morning yoga class is also very nice. Feeling zen just to sit in the yoga barn. The shuttle to downtown every two hour.

United StatesLoved the property, would recommend.
We used the spa services, morning yoga, private/romantic dinner, happy hour and they were all wonderful! The spa and flower bath were amazing and very relaxing for a rainy day. Our suite was in the main building and close by to the restaurant and yoga room, without having to take off our slippers while walking there. We loved the breakfast, which you could order as many entrees as you want, and they even brought more food to our room when we were in a rush to go on a tour. The staff was very attentive and personable. We felt like we were treated like royalty and enjoyed our stay. It rained the whole time, but we could still sit on our covered balcony anyways and enjoy the peace.

United StatesNot a super comfortable room with odd setup in Royal duplex. No couch to sit on except for some weird wooden chairs that no one will ever sit in. If you wanna just relax and be comfortable and watch something on TV you couldn’t even do that. I understand you’re in Bali to be adventurous, but sometimes you just need to be comfortable and relax too. Understanding they probably don’t have a couch because there is a pool, but you can buy a couch that is water resistant. It’s just a weird set up for the room and they should be more thoughtful on how to make it more comfortable. Yoga instructor needs training.
Beautiful resort, friendly staff.

United KingdomThe restaurant area didn’t feel as lovely as the rest of the property and had views of the road so took you out of the lovely lush jungle feel.
Beautiful hotel 10-15 mins from ubud. Pool was stunning, felt like swimming in the jungle. My baby loved the koi carp ponds all over the hotel. This was a real highlight of our trip to Bali. Free shuttle to ubud really helpful and we used to pop in and out of the city. Also made use of free yoga (the yoga studio is just stunning) and of the free morning walk to see a temple. Loved our stay and would return.

SpainUnfortunately our room was the furthest away from the reception and therefore quite uncomfortable sometimes. We had a cockroach in our room every day, but staff was nice about it and reacted very fast. In the end you’re in the middle of the jungle and stuff like this happens :) Overall our room was a bit outdated and could benefit from an upgrade. Massage prices are very high compared to the quality and prices you can get just down the street.
Absolutely amazing service and great surroundings! The food was a dream and we had a great time.

What an amazing stay at Udaya - beautiful hotel! The staff were incredibly helpful and kind - they helped to make my husband’s birthday really special. The breakfast a la carte was delicious. The spa was heavenly. We also loved the setting of the morning yoga, so peaceful. The location was great, 10 min from Ubud center. Usually there was some traffic but that’s the case everywhere in Bali!

United StatesThe breakfast was à la carte, and while it was okay, the buffet section was minimal. I would have appreciated a more generous or thoughtfully curated breakfast overall. Still, it was a lovely and relaxing place to stay, ideal if you are looking to unwind and enjoy the tranquil setting.
I really enjoyed my stay! The pool was a highlight—perfect for relaxing after a day out. The jungle view from my upstairs room was absolutely stunning, especially in the morning. It gave a real sense of being immersed in nature. The breakfast was decent, not anything spectacular, but it did the job. Overall, a peaceful and pleasant experience.

United Arab EmiratesUnfortunately during our stay there was road works next to the hotel so had to take a long turn (extra 10min) to reach every time. Also the rooms have a strong humidity smell, we asked to move and luckily the second room was better.
Everything, from the beautiful surroundings, the pool area, morning yoga classes and tasty breakfast. We had an amazing stay and staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed.

I had an amazing stay at The Udaya! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome – always friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. Their hospitality really stood out and made the experience even more special. The hotel itself is stunning, peaceful, clean, and beautifully designed with attention to detail. My room was spacious, comfortable, and felt like a little sanctuary. Every part of the property felt serene and well cared for. Breakfast each morning was fresh, delicious, and offered a great variety, perfect to start the day. I also loved the yoga classes offered on-site; they were well guided and held in such a calm and beautiful environment. Overall, The Udaya exceeded my expectations. It’s the perfect place to unwind and feel cared for. I highly recommend it and would absolutely return!

CroatiaUnfortunately, I wasn't able to try any of the spa treatments as they were fully booked for the next few days. It would've been helpful if they'd let us know in advance to book ahead of time.
Very big, spacious rooms, nicely decorated, very beautiful with the stonework behind the bathtub. We really enjoyed that the room is across the koi ponds, so they're swimming right at your door, and they leave fish food in the room in case you'd like to feed them too! The breakfast is definitely a highlight - it is à la carte supplemented with some buffet items, and you're free to order multiple dishes. Everything was delicious, including a nice coffee (cappuccino, espresso, and not just the Balinese coffee). Non-dairy milk was also an option. The staff were friendly and promptly accommodating; for example, I didn't like the very tall pillows in the bed, and they were able to provide less tall ones, which I slept perfectly with. There's an hourly shuttle to Ubud center, which is very convenient. We could spontaneously just text the reception on WhatsApp when we wanted to return and they'd arrange for us to catch the next shuttle. The complimentary morning yoga on the beautiful rooftop space was a perfect way to start the day. We loved every aspect of our stay and would highly recommend this place.

United KingdomOnly thing is it's not accessible for those with mobility issues. But while I say this, as someone who can struggle with stairs I see the positive of me exercising each day, and feeling stronger while doing so. 😊
Udaya made such a wonderful effort in acknowledging our honeymoon. Celebratory cake, design on the mirror...all was appreciated! Excellent welcome drink - so tasty I asked for the recipe which Sunartha kindly gave me. Fantastic breakfast EXCELLENT staff – every single one of them. : ) Love the water features in the hotel, perfect for a sense of tranquility and peace Most comfortable bed and pillows My husband organised a candlelit dinner. it waa utterly beautiful! Took a yoga class in a rooftop room; my first class after three years following a diagnosis. Thank you Ben, for leading such a wholesome class. i took a Balinese cooking class with Sunartha and had the most fun time! He really is a kind soul, and we had lots of fun cooking with music together. Thank you so much Sunartha. I might not remember how to cook every dish LOL but that was such a memorable experience.
