How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Verified reviewAmazing service, beautiful, quiet, secluded location where you can hear insects and birds sitting outdoors. North of Ubud town, so away from the hubub. The staff make a lovely breakfast every day - highly recommend the Indonesian breakfast.
There is no restaurant on site, but you can easily order grab (or other) delivery and the kind staff at the villa will bring the food down to you.

The property owner has an antique collection in the rooms, and you get warned about not touching anything. Some sculptures are freaking scary, the smell of old furniture is all around. We booked for three nights, but we only slept one.

The room we booked should have been 350m2 according the Booking.com profile, however it was not even close. 2 small bedrooms and a living room - and only the 2 bedrooms had aircondition. Another note is that the profile also stated that the place had a restaurant but thats not true, as the staff is taking orders and then you'll have to wait 1,5 hours to get the food. That didn't work at all with 3 small kids.

The bathtub is dirty and water doesn’t drain at all. Bathroom basin tap is flimsy and toilet is very dirty and lots of stain mark. Overall the there are dust in the property. I think the owner needs to be addressed and money I’ve spent is not worth my stay.

Location is away from most amenities. If no appointed driver or rental car throughout trip, can be very inconvenient.

If you want to find the center of Ubud, you need a vehicle such as a car or motorbike. However, it only takes about 5 to 10 minutes for you to reach the center of Ubud if you use a vehicle. Our staff always provides the best service for every single guests, you can see from some of the reviews from other guests about our staff and facilities too. Regarding your comments, It's not FAIR at all and not the REAL one, before our General Manager already contacted with friendly manner and explained you via chat Sir and you said that you just ashamed with your Parents regarding your booking choiced and blamed or judge us regarding that case, So on this stage logically, if like that, We as Property wasn't made mistaken or false at all right, And Regarding the prices, It's was very worthed with our best 5 Star Excellence Services provided with Luxury 2 Bedroom Private Pool Villas facilities too from several reviews score result before. For our room design it is like that, we design it to look classic and lots of antiques that are hard to find in some areas and on this stage We will affirm too, "We have Lobby upstair from entering", "We have the best Services in the world with Luxury facilities and ambience", "The clean was our Top Priority", "Parking available free in front of Villas", "Owner, Management & Staff always take care about the maintenance, discuss and find the solution by the WhatsApp Group ("YOU CAN'T LIE HERE SIR") and also We suspect that maybe you are was one of our Competitors that intentionally made a booking and gave a review of this score. Verified reviewAn old house spacious villa in a Javanese style with so many decoration details, even hard to count, you could find something new in its rooms every day. Sometimes ants and birds found their way to the villa)) but we didn’t see it a problem. it has kitchen, so we even cooked there. It was nice to have dinner with a family in front of the the pool. The pool is good for kids. villa is surrounded with rice terraces、situated in a quiet place, within a reach of grab taxis. The staff was very attentive and kind, they prepared nice breakfasts for us and even earlier than normal breakfast time when we had to leave for the airport.

Verified reviewMarvellous luxury villa in a quite area next to rice paddies fields. Very unique place all in wood , Balanise style, high ceiling. beautiful decorated, nice artwork, felt like spending the night in the museum.Loved the outdoor shower and the very special attached bathroom. After sweaty days visiting all the sites in Ubud, we really enjoyed cooling down in the small but reasonable size private swimming pool. But more than the place, was the staff Ayu and Putri, they made our stay so enjoyable with a very nice breakfast and afternoon tea trying local delicacies. They were very discreet but always there when needed them, so efficient.
The only inconvenience was a very poor Wi Fi. Only accessible next to the router and only for one person at the time . was not a deal breaker for us as it forced us to stay off the web.
