Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

United States of AmericaLack of hot running by water was unfortunate.
Great rooms, with great view of the pool that was very refreshing, and great location made it easy to walk to all of the places we wanted to visit.

IndiaThe stay was very good at this price range. Location is awesome as it is in between market where you can have many restaurants as per your food need. Ubud monkey forest is just 400 meters away from the hotel. Also you will see a lot of monkeys coming to your balcony and you enjoy while they play.

AustraliaWe found ants in our room :( even though we didn’t have food waste in our room.
Location is unbeatable, right at Ubud city centre and Monkey Forest is just steps away. The design of the hotel is so traditional and Balinese, we love it! The pool is clean and pretty. And the restaurant is cheap compared to others on the main street. Also, monkeys visited our balcony every morning, which my kids loved so much!

United KingdomThe inside of the pillows were disgusting and brown from other peoples previous sweat and they stuck out from underneath the pillowcases so was very noticeable and off-putting. The hot water wasnt working when we arrived but was easily fixed, but on the last day, we went the entire day without any hot water - but we were given another room to shower in the next morning before we left for the airport. There was a lot of steps down to our room at the back, i get why, but having to carry heavy suitcases up loads of stairs at 5am, was not pleasant. The fridge had an awful smell to it, i cleaned it multiple times but couldnt get rid of the smell. i know i seem to have written more bad stuff than good, but it didnt ruin our holiday.
Location was brilliant. Monkeys were on the balcony every morning. Marble and stone flooring was nice. the view out our window was nice and green. Pool was nice, got plenty of sun throughout the day. Complimentary water every day. Changed the sheets multiple times during our stay. the cleaning staff were very friendly each morning, saying hello and asking if we wanted our rooms cleaned.

IndiaWe loved the location of property from where all cafes and joints are just a stone's throw away. The rooms are pretty spacious with an attached balcony to relax and enjoy the nature. We bagged this amazing property at quite low tariff, which makes it one of the best properties to stay in Ubud.

GermanySee above.
When it comes to the rooms, it is a hit or miss; the first night, we got a lovely room in the back of the property with a nice view (The monkeys played on our terrace). (Plans changed, so we booked one more night and had to switch rooms). The second room was small, with a bathroom that completely flooded when showering. You could hear all the noise from the main street. We agree with past reviews; the Wifi almost never worked, the towels were stained, the windows and door to the balcony were not fully closed, and there were ants in our first room. However the pool was nice and the location was really great, a lot restaurants and 5 mins to the Monkey Forrest. What we also liked was seeing the monkeys playing on the property. But watch out for your belongings; they steel (the monkeys, haha)

United KingdomThe beds wasn’t very comfortable and bedding felt damp. The toilets had some stains on them but again maybe that sort of thing is expected with the location
Staff was lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. Being in monkey forest very funny to wake up in the morning with them all over your balcony and pool very warm and kept clean

SingaporeThere are many substantial stairs, and there's no intercom linking the rooms to reception. While the lack of a TV is tolerable, it might not provide much entertainment for families with children. Furthermore, the Wi-Fi signal is weak. If you're worried about encountering monkeys, this place might not be ideal for you; however, it's important to mention that monkeys are prevalent throughout Ubud. There's room for improvement in terms of cleanliness as well.
The location is superb, offering a delightful view from the room that showcases a charming, traditional Balinese style. The doors and room setup allow you to immerse yourself in the old Balinese culture, as they have preserved the architectural styles of ancient Bali. We enjoyed sitting in our room on the first floor, admiring the view outside.

United KingdomThe air con wasn’t working strong enough to cool the room but they arranged for technician to fix it and it worked a lot better, they also provided us a fan. There are a lot of stairs thought out the hotel grounds, which guests with mobility issues or young children should be aware off. Also a lot of monkeys in the grounds, which are looking for food. So if your scared of monkeys I wouldn’t stay here as they were all over our balcony fighting over our towels.
Location is great, just off the Main Street full of restaurants but the hotel is nice and quiet. Staff are friendly and breakfast was basic but nice. Restaurant is really cheap for lunch and dinner.

MalaysiaLighting very poor, cots had sharp edges and got hurt twice, second day hot water stopped abruptly and we had to take bath in the cold water …next day after complaining only they replaced the gas cylinder …actually they should monitor this and do it in time so that we could have had hot shower
Food was good but break fast had very little options . Last day we forgot to take our specs and left the room…the room service person brought and gave it to us …nice attitude and thanks to him

AustraliaThere was no hot water in my room which was disappointing as I really wanted to have a refreshing bath. It wasn't too terrible as it was really humid and hot when I visited Ubud, however sometimes you want a hot shower to wash your hair in. The air con was also not great at all, I was super hot at night and woke up sweating most mornings. But at the end of the day this is a hotel in the middle of Indonesia and I wasn't there to spend the whole time in my room so I didn't mind and made the most of it anyways! 🥰
A beautiful, stunning, clean room in such an amazing garden. The grounds and gardens were so magical, I literally felt like I was in the middle of a jungle paradise (which I was!). You can sit out on your balcony/deck and watch the little monkeys and the world go by and listen to the sounds of the river situated next to the rooms. I had a gigantic bath and bed in my room and it felt so luxurious! The pool was so clean and fresh and I spent many nights out there relaxing and swimming at sunset. The location was also perfect, right in central Ubud city but off the street enough to be peaceful and quiet away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were also very friendly and asked me if I needed them to clean my room or not every morning which I appreciated a lot.
