How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe free dinner is an interesting option and the gym + table tennis + billiard place is also a quite nice addition

Verified reviewWaking up to a free tea in the pool is lovely. Great social area with beanbags and family dinner brings everyone together. One of the dorms is really nice, the other ok but a bit rundown (I stayed in both). Good shower pressure and generally clean.
The owner is a tyrant. The staff are lovely folk but you can see they're visibly stressed when he's around. I overheard him shouting down the phone over a really minor thing. And he has strange rules like the music has to stay on his (kinda depressing) playlist... But the worst thing is I heard from more than one female guest that he found their number on the booking system and messaged them things that made them feel unsafe. This is a problem that goes beyond the usual hostel stuff and this dude needs to take a long hard look at himself. Beware!

Verified reviewFree dinners were so yummy. Staff were so amazing and helpful. You can make good friends here cause people are really social and we eat dinner together.
Toilets need a revamp. Almost all the toilet seats and shower heads were broken. Was there for only 4 days but there was a power outage every single day. Toilet flushes dont work all the time so it can get really gross but the staff do their best to clean it everyday. Water supply from sinks and showers were very weak in the early mornings or late nights. It says there is aircon but they only turn it on at certain timings, so when it is not on, the room can get very stuffy and hot. No free water refills so you have to keep buying bottles of water.

Verified reviewCreepy owner made many girls uncomfortable by finding their number and messaging them to take the out even after being told no multiple times. Very creepy behaviour and unprofessional

Verified reviewThe showers are powerful and hot and there is space outside to relax. The beds are dark and quiet for sleeping.
The dorms don't feel very clean and for the price you get a very basic experience. It's fine but feels overpriced for what it is unfortunately.

Verified reviewI loved the vibe of the hostel, the people, and the amazing atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and always ready to help. The capsules were super comfortable and offered great privacy, which I really appreciated. I also enjoyed the entertainment room and the training space, both were excellent additions.
Nothing, everything was great.

Verified reviewLovely social but chill vibe, made a lot of friends here and the pool/hangout area is good. Pod beds are good and you don’t feel like you’re sharing with 20 people.

Verified reviewIt was in a great location. Not right in the Center of town so away from all the traffic and noise, but a short walk down the road to where everything is. The pods were very cozy and large with enough space for a bed, wardrobe, and small luggage. The staff were absolutely lovely and so kind.
The rooms felt a bit damp, but the staff were constantly cleaning to mitigate any mold build up.

Verified reviewDinners were pretty yum and a good way to bring everyone together and meet new people. The rooms were okay, relatively quiet for a 20 person room. Staff were helpful.
No water cooler was a big downside. Had to use so many plastic bottles. This would be a relatively inexpensive thing to offer and woild make such a big difference. There was lots of things broken in the bathroom that would be easy to fix. Didn’t see anyone use the pool during my stay.

Verified reviewI really enjoyed staying here. The beds are comfortable and spacious. The staff and the yoga instructor are really nice and always available for any help. Morning yoga was a really good start into the day and the evenings were social.
The bathroom was flooded sometimes but not to bad.

During the night I went to the toilet and the only available toilet was flooding the entire bathroom and corridor. Dormitory very humid, and cold during nights because of AC.

Verified reviewThe most social hostel I’ve been in 8 months traveling. Good vibe, good swimming pool, clean and nice toilet and showers, hot water. And free dinner. I guess it’s difficult to ask for more.
The plug in my bed was not working. Just small thing. Overall good.
