Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe hotel states that it has facilities for disabled guests which it does but as a wheelchair user realiant on those facilities, especially space, the room is on the small size, not much space each side of the bed for the wheelchair. Disabled people tend to favour their stronger side for transfering onto the bed. The lift is small, only for l had help it would be very difficult to manage bringing up luggage. The door leading to the hallway to the room is very stiff and will cause problems for disabled guests who are weaker. From a personal observation, it could prove very difficult for an electric wheelchair user to manage the lift, hallway door and bed, even with assistance.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is very good with shops and food outlets nearby for essentials.

MalaysiaNo aircondition or fan .The fan that they lent worked only for one day and it was so small that it didnt make a difference. It was hot at night even with the window open. Didnt allow change of towels everyday. No room cleaning service everyday. Towels provided were too small. Not enough hand towels provided. No toiletries provided. No proper bath gels/ shampoo or hair conditioner
The staff were friendly. Able to help with my queries. I managed to check in early for a charge of 10 Euros. Also the hotels allows you to store your luggage if you arrive early. The bus stand is right in front of the hotel so it was super convenient. A lot of restaurants nearby with good choices for breakfast. Aldi was next door. Excellent location

IrelandNo air-condition so it was a bit to warm in the room as you can't open the window to get the fresh air. But I got a fan from the reception.
Great location close to shops, good restaurants and cinema. Staff nice and helpful. Comfortable bed and spacious room.

United KingdomCan't think of anything.
We had 2 rooms for 3 people + dog. Pet friendly room was extra spacious. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. The hotel was quiet despite the hotel being on a fairly busy road. We didn't mind that there was no on-site restaurant, since there were plenty of options nearby. Reception staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. Parking arrangements were nearby and secure, which is a bonus for Dublin.

United KingdomThe room we stayed in 101 was a little dated, was big so plenty of room but poor layout as no options to hang anything in the bathroom or in the shower area. No space or tables to put anything on in the room, just the table where the kettle was. Lots of wasted space. No options for breakfast at the hotel but lots of options nearby and The Pantry in the Swan Shopping Centre had great Irish, English and continental all day food options and offered hotel guests 10% off when show room card.
Good location to the city centre, bus stop right outside and takes 10min to Temple Bar area. Takes approx 35min from Airport by Car to hotel, also bookable and reasonably priced car parking on site by prior arrangement. Even though on the outskirts of the city this area has lots of local amenities, pubs, restaurants, take-aways and big a big Aldi and Tesco close by. Great location for the price and close enough but also nice if you don’t want to be right in the thick of it. Staff were all so friendly and happy. Helped with booking open top bus, gave directions, advice on transport and lots more. Was a service you would expect from the concierge desk at a 4* hotel, so that fact this was Travel Lodge was what made it special.

IrelandOnly downside was that there were no dining facilities and no breakfast (tea/coffee in room of course) but they do have an arrangement with lovely cafe nearby for the food.
Location wise it was ideal for my visit to the Royal Victoria hospital, less than 10minute walk. Quiet surroundings, very pleasant staff and room was ideal.
