location and room was brilliant. lovely charm to the hotel. booked a room here for work and its location was great to be near the motorway plus near the town to wander. room is comfy, hadnt the opportunity to get food there, but will return again

Breakfast options limited. We had a late booking and there was barely any hot food left to eat. Only 2 pieces of overcooked bacon and one sausage and no eggs left and there were three of us. The common areas and hallway areas were old and tatty looking with ripped carpets and doors need to be painted. Bathroom in room tired and old. Wardrobes very old need to be replaced. Very nondescript bedroom. Terrible view of a yard area from Bedroom.

It was very warm and a fan would have been helpful. I would have liked to be able to lock the bathroom door.

The spa facilities need updating as they were very basic and got busy with lots of children!

Breakfast was lovely and had a great variety and the bedrooms were a decent size with a nice, comfortable bed.

Hot water wouldn’t work in taps in room for a while in the morning. It eventually came back as I was about to call reception.

Room ensuite was not great - the shower water pressure was terrible. To adjust the water temperature from cold to warm you turn a faucet to the right. Unfortunately, this faucet also controlled the water pressure - as the water temperature increased to warm the water pressure increased to such an extent it was uncomfortable to stand under the shower and also generated so much spray it was impossible to contain it with the shower curtain meaning the bathroom floor became quite wet.

The room was large and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel restaurant provided good evening meals with a reasonable range of menu options

Really large room with all fscilities you could possibly need. Lovely coffee ststion with baked goods in the foyer. Leisure centre excellent. Bar food very good. Staff really lovely, friendly, helpful. Would definitely stay again.

On our stay it was actually quite hot so a fan or aircon would have been great.

Rooms were spacious, great shower pressure honestly like a massage. The hotel garden was stunning. Staff were so kind and helpful. Great breakfast options.

It’s a beautiful hotel but is getting a bit old and in need of some updates. Our cold tap in the vanity could not be turned at all. We were a bit disappointed with our meals in the pub, but all staff were very friendly.

Our room was great. Lots of space and a king size bed. The bathroom was large and spacious and had a bath. It was great to have a cafe and pub downstairs.

Disinterested and gruff Senior man at reception who told us nothing about our room or the facilities on offer. No mention of the fact that the pool was under separate management and the towel charges applied
