How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There’s nothing to fault! If I had to mention anything, a full-length mirror and slightly firmer pillows (or extras) would’ve been nice—but that’s just personal preference. Everything else was perfect. 😊
[Unit 2 – Adams Complex, Tullamore] We had a really lovely stay at Adams Complex. Check-in and check-out were completely seamless, and the hosts were so friendly – always around or nearby if we needed anything, which was very reassuring. The entire complex looks recently refurbished and decorated to a really high standard. Everything feels fresh, secure, and well looked after. The apartment itself was very welcoming – clean, spacious, and thoughtfully laid out. Inside, there’s a large open-plan living and kitchen area with all the mod cons you’d need for a few days away. It was great to have tea, coffee, and sugar provided, along with a large chilled bottle of water in the fridge – a small touch - but really appreciated after travelling. The bathroom had a great power shower, and the bedroom was very comfortable – the bed was super cosy. If I’m being picky, I personally prefer firmer pillows, but that’s just personal preference. We also had a family member stay in Unit 3 for one night. It was slightly larger and a little brighter due to more windows, but both units were finished to the same high standard with stylish furnishings throughout. What you see in the listing photos is exactly what you get – which, let’s face it, isn’t always the case when booking! The colours on some items like the sofas may vary slightly, but the overall look and feel are just as pictured – if not better. We were genuinely impressed when we arrived. The location is fantastic – just a short walk into the centre of Tullamore and right across the road from Lidl, which was super convenient. This place is perfect for couples, families, or travellers wanting a peaceful base. It’s definitely not a party spot – Adams Complex is quiet and relaxing, ideal for anyone looking to unwind. The whole team, including the cleaners, were hardworking and attentive, and that really came across during our stay. There’s on-site parking available, too, which made things even easier.

Some noise from the road, but not a problem. Had difficulty opening front door and had to call the owner out. Unable to access channels on TV.
Modern apartment. Well located just a few minutes walk from the centre of Tullamore. Parking spaces available.

Everything. Cleanliness, comfort, amenities all absolutely perfect. Was staying there with my partner due to playing a gig in John Lees seconds from the property so location couldnt have been more ideal.

Couldn't fault a single thing.
The apartment was perfect — excellent value for money, very modern, and extremely comfortable. The location was outstanding, and checking in was simple and hassle-free.
