Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Had a small public mini fridge for everyone staying at the lodge. We were unable to place food in there due to other guests filling it up with only alcohol so some of our food went bad. We had asked the staff if there was any way we could remove some alcohol but said it works on first come first serve basis for fridge space. We understood this but as one of us had dietary restrictions we were a little frustrated as we had prepared a meal specifically for them to eat the next morning.
Great place to stay! We got a family room and were worried that we would feel cramped but it was still quite spacious with two twins and a full bed. Bathroom was big with a shower and tub. Place was clean! Staff was welcoming.

apparently nobody wants to take care of breakfast, all the facilities are available, just the people are missing. Would make it a perfect place to stay.

The only issue was that breakfast wasn't available at the facility and that the walls are very thin, so you can hear everything from the other rooms.
Great location (10min walk to Clifden center), beautiful views around the place, check-in was smooth also after reception working hours, all clean and comfy.

As close to a Hotel as a guest house can be. Parking, self service food facilities, easy book in and book out. Rooms are nice and well maintained. I enjoyed my stay and the staff were very nice

Nothing to complain about
Lovely and quiet for a good nights sleep. Comfortable and clean room with plenty of space. Lovely comfy bed. Large bathroom with toiletries and plenty of soft clean towels. Plenty of off road parking. Easy check in and very helpful staff.

Easy to find on edge of town, very friendly reception. Large room with comfortable chais for sitting. Good bed, tea and coffee making in room. Good hot water and even a bath tub! Access to microwave, toaster and fridge in lounge room. It was a cold wet day and the heating went on, a real blessing! Good value for money.

Location excellent. Parking v good.access to fridge dining n sitting area. No noise n we had freedom to come n go. Discount voucher available for breakfast in local hotel n breakfast was v good value with stunning view of harbour.

Toaster and sink/ tissues missing in common area. Coffee/ tea mugs missing. Landing area was quite bumpy and my wife was pregnant so she had to walk all the way from outside. Its difficult to take a walk in evening as there is a big focus light towards lodge which makes difficult to see, while road is bumpy inside with minor stones which may make you fall as vision is impacted with focus light outside.

A bit further from the town centre (15-20 mins walk), on the main road.

Huge, clean, well equipped rooms. Love the wee kitchen area but would really like a toaster there too. Short walk or drive into town.
