hotel was a bit dated for us and the room need an overhaul. Room smelled as if it hadn't been used in a few weeks. Described as set in its own grounds, which is strictly true but gave the impression it has quite a bit of grounds. turned out its a few paths/trees/patio in a very small area

free car park was good and location has places within easy walking distant

I felt the room was expensive for a shared room for one night.

Breakfast was excellent. Very good selection, nicely prepared and staff were friendly and helpful.

The receptionist was very welcoming and when I reserved a table for dinner she noted that it was for a special occasion .Our room was spacious and comfortable overlooking the lovely garden. The leisure facilities were excellent. We had a lovely evening meal. There was a great choice of starters, mains and desserts. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. He had been informed by the receptionist that it was my friend's birthday and he wished her a happy birthday as we were being seated. The food was excellent and the roulade was the best I've ever had anywhere.

Slightly too far out from centre as taxi prices ranged from €14-€20 which added to overall price. Also there wasn't a great atmosphere later on at night when returning to hotel after 10 pm as bar closed quite sharp at 11.30 and it was night porter after that.It was the weekend so a later bar would have encouraged greater buzz.

Great breakfast and staff were so helpful.Overall I would recommend it for older couples.

Few more milks in room, soft close on doors would be good. Water in rooms would be nice on arrival.

Food great, parking, walking distance from Salthill, staff so lovely from check-in, bar, bistro and breakfast.

The menu was good, but not extensive. Would have been nice to have more variety.

It had a wonderful character and the staff were excellent. Especially Emma in the restaurant who made us feel very welcome. The quality of the dishes was excellent.

It felt like the hotel was catering more to the bus tour groups than us.

Breakfast was tasty and plentiful but with the coach crowds it did feel a bit to busy and rushed to truly enjoy our breakfast experience

Older fitout, getting a little bit tatty. Cleanliness not quite up to par. Corridors are endless. If you have walking issues, make sure you request a room as close to the reception as possible otherwise 200m+ corridor walk is possible.

Older style hotel, well appointed and useful location, lots of parking & lift access to rooms. Great restaurant opening hours. Good breakfast. Awesome seafood chowder!
