Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LuxembourgI suppose it's a pity there isn't much to do around there so we only stayed one night passing through the B&B itself was great and we would have loved to have stayed longer.
I loved the beautiful room and comfortable bed and the fantastic rashers and sausages at breakfast. My kids absolutely adored the e dogs.

AustraliaNothing to not like about a 305 year old mansion, that has a few creaking floor boards.
Quiet, no traffic noise, surrounded by farm land and a short walk to the village. Flowers in the garden, birds and bees. Breakfast served at a civilised hour and plenty to choose from. The loveliest host and hostess, happy and helpful. We were in the Blue room that has a kitchenette so we could cook dinner.

We had a very comfortable and relaxing 3 nights stay at Ash Hill. A marvelous 300+ year old Georgian Manor house. The entire guest wing is beautifully furnished with a grand staircase and lovely parlor and dining room. The guest rooms are spacious with high ceilings, tall windows letting in lots of light. We stayed in the Blue Room which included a kitchenette, sitting area in front of a fireplace, small dining table, very comfortable queen size bed and a bathroom with a hot shower and tub. Nicole prepared a delicious breakfast every morning. Ash Hill’s location was perfect for us as we came to walk in the Ballyhoura Mountains and also enjoyed a day trip to Adare.

United StatesOur stay at Ash Hill B&B was one of the highlights of our whole trip. It's such a gorgeous house and estate, and Simon was very kind and accommodating, sharing the fascinating history of the property and surrounding area. We couldn't believe the value; given its size and elegance, it could easily have been double the cost.

NetherlandsA lovely situated estate where we stayed in a very spacious and fully equipped room/apartment. The owners were welcoming and shared many interesting details about the history of the place. Breakfast (both continental and Irish) was served in a very nice formal dining room (where we also met Bertie, a curious and cute dog). Also our compliments for the tasty homemade honey!

United KingdomOur stay at Ash Hill was the highlight of our trip to Ireland. It is a true destination character property and you will find points of interest all over the house and grounds. The hosts couldn't be more helpful and were happy to share local knowledge, local history, history of the house itself, and made us feel completely at home. Breakfast was served in the most beautiful dining room, and Nikki's cooked breakfast was among the best I've had. The town of Kilmallock is in easy walking distance and was well equipped with a small supermarket, welcoming pubs, and an excellent Indian restaurant. We regretted not spending more time and the house and in the town itself (a visit to the priory is a must for any heritage/history lover) as we had busy day excursions planned long in advance. Thank you to Nikki, Simon, and the rest of the staff. We can't wait to return.
