Kathleen and John were fantastic hosts, they couldn't have been more helpful. When a trip was cancelled due to weather, they helped with checking weather forecasts and even phoned around other B&Bs to help find convenient accommodation to fit around our rebooked excursion. Breakfast was lovely (the fruit salad is a MUST :-)) and the room was spacious and clean. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thank you Kathleen and John!

Everything was perfect.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Atlantic House B&B, the owners Kathleen and John are the exceptionally kind, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are spotless clean, comfortable and the breakfast is delicious, tasty and there is plenty of choice for everyone. Gluten free was catered for no problem. Many nice spots (beach and gastropub) nearby. Book you stay here don't even think twice.

Nothing to not like

Kathleen and John really know their stuff when it comes to hosting. You can tell they’ve been doing this for a while—they just get it. We had such a great stay; they go out of their way to make you feel totally at home. And a special shoutout to John,Kathleen and my wife for surprising me with cupcakes on my birthday, such a thoughtful touch that made the day extra sweet.

Lovely house in Castletownshend on the West Cork coast. Spotless clean rooms with sea view. Kathleen is the perfect host, she drove me to the Woodcock Smokery (where I had reserved my dinner) and she came to pick me up. The breakfast in the morning was fab, plenty of choices, everything homemade and delicious! I will visit again!

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Kathleen made us feel so welcome. The room was immaculate, everything very clean. Everyone who stays is made to feel so special. The hosts Kathleen and John are super hosts. Kathleen even made reservations for us at a local restaurant and then put together a 3 day itinerary for our stay. The breakfast was delicious each day and the coffee/tea setup in the room was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend this B&B to anyone we know traveling in the Skibbereen area.

Can't think of anything we didn't like. Kathleen went out of her w ay to be helpful, even finding a home for our drpping waterproofs.

This was a perfect stay. We had a lovely warm welcome from Kathleen. The breakfasts offered good variety and excellent quality ingredients. The house was scrupulously clean and warm, the beds very comfortable and the decor pleasant. Kathleen was interesting and interested and gave us lots of useful information. John had done much of the work in making the house so nice and cooked for us. We had such a comfortable and relaxing stay for 3 nights. We really appreciated the supplies of fresh milk and well water in our fridge!

Two of the three of us liked the beds, one found theirs too hard. Personal choice, that's all. There was nothing else to complain about, it was all just so nice.

Kathleen was the most amazing host. She answered all my pre-arrival questions and was so helpful when we thought at one point we might need to get a delivery to us there. She knows how to make guests feel not just welcome but special too. Breakfasts were amazing, and Kathleen went to tremendous lengths to cope with the Gluten Free request for one of our party - that was really appreciated. Castletownshend is a bit out of the way but definitely worth the effort getting there. It's such a beautiful part of the world.

Bright, comfortable and clean. Our host Kathleen could not have done more for us. The house is in a quiet location but is an easy drive to many interesting spots. Breakfasts were delicious.
