The cottage is absolutely beautiful, it has been recently renovated, it’s equipped with everything you may need, it’s comfortable, clean and it has beautiful views on the countryside. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the surrounding area. Carola was nice and ready to help. My family and I had a lovely time at the Atlantic Retreat Cottage, thank you.

Unfortunately a glass door and the entrance pin code system were both broken during our stay but we were able to work round this with minimal disruption.

The ground floor apartment was spacious and light, the kitchen had everything we needed to be able to cook our own meals and our daughter was delighted with the garden and neighbouring sheep. All appliances had instruction labels on them for ease of use, it felt like a home from home. We really enjoyed the location, it was extremely peaceful, a 5 min drive to the beach and other amazing view points.

We had an amazing stay in this great huge clean and beautiful house. Incredible quantity and quality of equipment. Everything was well thought by the host until the last details. Nothing is missing, we really felt comfortable like at home. Very highly recommended !

Over my long weekend stay there was nothing that I could complain about!!

A beautiful apartment in excellent condition. Appears to be newly renovated and probably A rated energy wise! Extremely comfortable and a pleasure to stay there. Wonderful to have our own private outdoor seating area too with a gazebo! The view of the Burren from the kitchen/ living room added to the delight! I would certainly return!

Although I did not use the TV much, it was somewhat confusing using the EIR box attached. Even after following the instructions provided, I could only get a handful of stations at times, and at other times, nothing at all.

This is one of the nicest places in which I have stayed. It is remote, but this adds to its charm, Instructions form the host were accurate and concise. The place is roomy with all the facilities needed.

We liked everything. Perhaps a little more wood to make a nice fire. Only 3 logs. But I'm sure we could have bought from the local. Thank you so much Carola and Steffen.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. Excellent communication from our hosts all the way through. Easy to access home. Spotlessly clean. It was more beautiful and special than the pictures even gave us. Very well equipped kitchen Warm and cosy Attention to details like the lap blankets in the gorgeous sun room area .... Our favourite first thing in the morning. It was peaceful and felt so safe. Very comfortable beds Showers good. Plenty hot water.

Unfortunately it’s not very sound proof with the apartment below so you can hear a lot if they are noisy guests. That would be the only issue. Beautiful location though.

Loved the welcome basket. The decor and layout was well thought out. Nicely equipped even with books and games. Extra blankets and beautiful windows were awesome. We were able to see the stars. Not far from Galway about 35 minutes. Nice little towns close by.

The oil diffusers & potpourri. We’re allergic! Smoke alarms went off in our unit from (apparently) burnt toast downstairs & we couldn’t shut them off til folks downstairs did theirs!

Lovely peaceful location, great base to explore the Burren with easy access to Galway also. The house was so well stocked with everything you might need for a short break, probably the best I've ever seen. Lots of extras for the kids aswell, toys, books etc. Host was very responsive also and provides lots of information.

More pillows are needed! Many of us, especially those aging, need more than one pillow to support our head, knees, etc.

We stayed in the downstairs part which had exclusive use of the garden which was lovely. The facilities were excellent and clean. Kitchen was well stocked and overall couldn’t fault the place. Quiet location and perfect for quiet restful stop.
