Bella vista has probabile the nicest view of Cobh the staff was very very kind. They had a problem with our room and consequently they offer us an upgrade. The beds were top! Very quit.

The money was actually withdrawn from the card on July 31, and check-in was on August 5! They did not compromise, they did not change the room. I wrote a corresponding review on Google, then the owner of the hotel wrote that this was not true and that I was misleading people! 🤬 You need to post real photos of not only the room, but also what's outside the window... and not close the blinds!!! If I had seen this in the photo, I would never have booked such a room!!! I am not a homeless person to have such an attitude!! (boiler room, barn, wall), I did not need a view of the ocean, but a view of the barn and garbage bins is also not good enough!!! I booked a room with one double bed, but the room had a double + single bed. The owner does not understand why there are complaints - like they wanted one bed, but we gave you two, like we did you a favor 🤬 - I don't need two beds, but one and space and at least a view of the garden, not a barn. The windows overlooked the boiler room, and at 22.45 the kitchen workers were knocking loudly and talking in Chinese.) I have real photos from the bank when the money was written off from my card! I am not misleading anyone, but they misled us by showing the room in the photo but with blinds on the windows..., now I understand what the catch is!!! Like you checked in and if you don't like it then no one will return your money. They don't care that you want to relax, they want to write off the main money from the card!!! And the guy who was at the reception on August 5, 2025, wrote down the card code for himself. - Now I am forced to check my card all the time and not trust hotels and people at all!!!

The hotel excellent,couldn't fault anything. The only negative is the elevated setting which involves a steep hill which might not suit everybody to walk up

You did need to lock the door from the inside or it wouldn’t lock but that’s the only thing I would say.

The hotel staff are, without exception, extremely helpful, friendly and very professional. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a great location with great views of Cobh and the harbour from the restaurant and bar.

It is an old building so there is zero soundproofing unfortunately. Ear plugs needed!

Like all Hotels in Ireland, not enough air circulation when they have warm days. Breakfast was good, but the restaurant for dinner was only Chinese food, and not very good

The water in the shower was cold. When i was in the bar, i was served west coast cooler that was over a year past the expiration date, as was my sister. When brought to the attention of the staff he didn’t seem too concerned or apologetic and simply went to the store room to get us two new cans, but didn’t offer a refund or replace the other expired cans on the shelf behind the bar which we really thought he should’ve done straight away. Other than that it was a lovely hotel and i would recommend !
